There is nothing NOT great about this guitar. It has a floating trem and yet stays in tune... amazing! Plays like buttah. Great tonal variations through the five-way selector. Well balanced grills a mean steak!

  • Great Guitar. Better than I expected.

Chose the prestige over the American strat and the Les Paul and don't regret it one bit.

This guitar is lightweight due to its thin body profile. The super wizard HP 5pc neck is thin and fast. The Dimarzio pickups sound great. The low pro edge tremolo bridge is a sleek design and is very comfortable while playing. The natural blue quilted maple finish is beautiful. The guitars craftsmanship is spectacular. This guitar is a joy to play.

I got mine in Natural Blue. It looks better in person. It is all of the quality I would expect from an Ibanez Presitge. I really like the versatily of the have the middle single coil pick up. I say this is for S-Series fans because quite frankly, the price of this guitar is much higher than an RG Prestige guitar which have very similar build quality, I own both. In my case, felt the neck needed a little more relief to get rid of some buzz, being the action is set so low. Just a very slight turn on the truss rod made a difference. This guitar is fast and I love the feel. Super fun to play. I was looking for a good updated version of the S-Series with 24 frets to go with my mid 90's 540SLTD, and I am glad they finally started using the Air Norton and Tone Zone for the H positions. If you like this S-Series, you'll love this guitar.
