Ibanez

Description

With the Ibanez PF28ECE Performance acoustic-electric guitar, you get professional features, quality and great sound at an affordable price backed by the Ibanez name and limited lifetime warranty. The mahogany back and sides give a textured tone while the flamed maple top projects cleanly.

Ivorex II nut is stronger and more durable than bone and even harder than the original Ivorex. Ivorex II nut allows brilliant highs and more pronounced lows with less mid-range, which makes Ivorex II-fitted guitars perfect for amplification. Ivorex II saddles are specially formulated to provide ultra-fast response and maximum sound transfer to the body.

In addition to the 1/4" output jack, a balanced XLR jack is included for direct connection to the PA system. The Ibanez SST Shape Shifter preamp with onboard tuner enables easy sonic manipulation, using the 3-band EQ and tone shaper. Any contour is right at your fingertips. The SST also offers a phase reverse for feedback reduction.

Case sold separately.

Overall, great buy. Not as good as the old martin, taylor, Hyundai models... but better than any others I've played. Decent quality. Feels a little cheap and light. But very Rich full sound. Probably not really a 5 star tool overall but it is one of the prettiest acoustics ive owned.

This is the best value acoustic-electric in my opinion. Ibanez seems to be underrated as far as acoustic guitars, but this guitar is so beautiful and the sound is so rich that my guitar teacher (he has been playing for about 50 years) thought it was a $500-700 guitar! I have recorded with this guitar using the XLR jack and the sound is perfect with some minor tweaks on the built-in equalizer. I would definitely recommend this guitar to anyone who is looking for an acoustic guitar and can afford it.

i got this guitar for my birthday in november and it sounds great. has a nice deep tone and isint too bright. but the bridge has started to seperate from the body of the guitar and causing damage to the body and is getting worse. so right now the strings are off and its hanging on my wall. other than that it sounds great and i loved it up until that point. i might have just gotten one that was put together poorly but you never know

  • Nice Guitar for a low price.

I ordered this guitar after reading some reveiws on another site. I was looking for a low price acoustic/electric to use at my church. I have a Yamaha FG-400 and realy have not played to many other high end guitars (other than my nefew's 3/4 Martin). I have to say that the sound quality is nice (brighter than my Yamaha). The low tone does not stand out as much as I would like but I have to expect this with a smaller body. I hooked it up to my Line 6 15w amp and the sound quality from the pick up is great. The built in tuner is good but I may still use my Snark tuner. The build quality seems realy good. Overall I would recomend this to any one who is looking for an good A/E for a good price.

Please explain what is meant by an electric-acoustic guitar?

This is an acoustic guitar with a built in preamp, so it can be plugged into an amplifier or PA system.
