Sweet guitar that's very versatile and when properly set up it is as good a guitar as you'll play. Has the original Edge tremelo as opposed to the low profile on his other guitars. Solid build and a little heavier weight than the other JS guitars I own. Neck profile is a hair bigger than my other JS guitar. The bubinga strip in the neck does add a noticeable mid spike to the overall tone. The Mo'Jo pickup is a little spiky as well but a little volume roll off with the treble bleed out of the circuit warms it up. It's a tweaker guitar, minor volume/tone adjustments make noticeable changes in performance. I'm a volume control rider and I really use the simple control layout to maximize tonal variations. I usually block my tremelo for down motion only but have left this floating as a .09-.42 setup has a nice stiff but bendable action with minor flatted notes when playing double stops. My action is low and the neck has very little relief and it plays clean with no choking of notes all the way to fret 24. Not easy to do on a more vintage radius neck. Ibanez Japan are the best in the business. If you are experienced with Floyd Rose guitars and you prefer a more vintage radius buy this guitar. If you prefer a flatter radius buy a JEM or an older 540.

I've never really considered buying a signature guitar but I liked the looks of this guitar and it had great reviews. The muscle car purple is very unique looking and the metallic paint just adds to its finish. I had an S Prestige ordered back in February and the back order date kept getting pushed forward, so I started looking for something else. I came across the JS2450 and it looked quite similar to the S series Ibanez so I started researching. I am glad I did! Dom at Guitar Center Boardman said he played a JS years ago and really liked it. I was a little concerned about the neck because the neck on the JS guitars are a little thicker than the Wizard necks that made Ibanez famous. After driving and hour and a half to play a JS2410, I was certain this was the guitar for me. The neck has a PERFECT feel to it. I now realize this neck is even more comfortable than the Wizard neck because it conforms to my hand better; the Wizard necks tend to dig into my thumb a little when I play. Two humbucker pickups as opposed to the HSH on the S really appealed to me. This JS2410 was the best playing guitar I have ever played to date so I immediately ordered the JS2450. After three long days, it finally arrived. I was not disappointed. I immediately took it into the Boardman Guitar Center and their guitar tech Steve made a few quick adjustments to the action and it was ready to go. Thanks Steve. This guitar has an incredible feel to it. It is hard to explain but you can actually feel the sounds resonate through the neck a little. You can get virtually any sounds you want as these are two of the best pickups I've had on a guitar. I also have an RG655 Prestige with HSH DiMarzio's and it doesn't come close to comparing to the sounds I get out of this guitar. If you are considering this guitar, you will not be disappointed. It's quality far exceeds anything by Gibson or Fender that I've ever played.

One properly setup this guitar can do anything. It has tonal variations from Strat to shred to Les Paul sounding heavy rhythm to searing solos and it does so with simple controls and no electronics. The Tremolo stays in tune thru all manner of abuse. The fine tuners on the trem are more precise than floyd rose systems. The frets and fingerboard on mine are flawless on buzzing or dead spots the edges of the frets are smoother than any other high-end guitar I own. Even with 24 frets every one of them is easily accessible. The Muscle Car Purple paint job is spectacular. The neck and bridge pickups have balanced output and the mini humbucker sound clear and full of tone, much better than the earlier JS guitars. I love the fact that you can activate the high past filter on the volume pot by pulling it up. Great for cleaning up the sound of the amp without adjusting the gain on the amp.
