Ibanez
Description

When Steve Vai teamed up with Ibanez in 1987 to create the original JEM, it became an instant classic. Now, Ibanez brings you the JEMJR, infusing the legendary model with modern playability and tone at an affordable price. The JEMJR's meranti mahogany body provides full, balanced tone with singing sustain. A bolt on Wizard III maple neck offers a slim, fast profile for blistering leads and complex chords. The jatoba fingerboard features Vai's iconic "Tree of Life" inlay for a touch of mojo.

Quantum Power for Aggressive Playing

The JEMJR harnesses a trio of hard charging Ibanez Quantum pickups. A Quantum humbucker at the bridge delivers tight, high output tone for aggressive rhythm and leads. The single-coil Quantum in the middle adds quack and cut, while a neck humbucker provides warm, rounded tone for complex chords and solos. A 5-way switch lets you access a variety of tones from subtle to savage.

Double Locking Tremolo for Extreme Stability

The JEMJR features Ibanez's rock solid double locking tremolo bridge for extreme tuning stability under heavy whammy bar use. Once the strings are locked at the nut and bridge, you'll experience minimal detuning even with the most extreme tremolo techniques. Combined with the locking tuners, this system keeps the JEMJR in tune through the most punishing gig.

Ergonomic Handle and Claw for Comfort

Like the original JEM, the JEMJR features Vai's famous "monkey grip" handle, providing a comfortable way to maneuver the guitar. It also sports the JEM's distinctive "lion's claw" tremolo cavity, allowing easy access to the tremolo arm. These ergonomic touches make the JEMJR a pleasure to play during even the longest gigs.

To start, this guitar was only good after I made adjustments on it, when it first came in the action was horrible, one of the strings was broken, and overall so many issues with this guitar to the point where I had to pay get it fixed , also there was so many scratches on it, I imagine I didn't get a new one , I got a used guitar also a lot of fret buzz when I got it.

Bought the guitar new and received a ground model that was dirty, used, and missing the whammy bar. Even the GC employee that helped me out was extremally confused at the quality of the guitar. When you order a new guitar, you should get a new guitar.

This is the third guitar I have purchased from GC and yet again the qc process of sending new guitars out to paying customer fell short of good. This a new guitar so there's is no reason for the neck needing to be adjusted as much as it was and the strings so loose that the bridge was completely bottomed out. I'm Sorry but if it's too much to ensure a product is ready for use out the box by the consumer, perhaps it's time to stop promoting GC as a musicians go to source. Get with the program and deliver quality service and satisfaction. Reminds me of the days when GC employees would break out guitars and do nothing to them, just place in a stand on the floor
