Ibanez

collapse expand iconDescription

The Ibanez GRGA120 GIO RGA Series electric guitar is the perfect instrument for beginners ready to graduate to an intermediate level. Featuring a poplar body with elegant arched top and binding, it produces a tone that screams for the spotlight. The maple neck and rosewood fretboard allow for fast, precise fingering during intense solos and power chord progressions. With two Infinity R pickups and a 5-way selector switch, guitarists have a variety of crunchy distortion and crisp clean tones at their fingertips to craft a signature sound.

A Rock-Ready Maple Neck and Rosewood Fretboard

The GRGA120's maple neck and rosewood fretboard are built for speed and performance. Their smooth, fast-playing design lets guitarists swiftly navigate complex chords, scales and solos. Jumbo frets provide plenty of space between notes for advanced techniques. Combined with an ergonomic body shape, the GRGA120 allows players to rock out in comfort during extended practice sessions and live shows.

Aggressive Tones From Infinity R Pickups

No rock guitar is complete without high-output pickups that deliver a range of overdriven tones. The GRGA120 features two Infinity R pickups—a humbucker in the neck position and a humbucker in the bridge position. Select between pickups using the 5-way selector switch for thicker, warmer neck pickup tones, brighter bridge pickup tones or a combination of both. The Infinity R pickups unleash tones from sweet, singing leads to all-out distortion when pushed through an amplifier.

Standard Bridge for Tuning Stability

This GRGA120 GIO RGA Series electric guitar features a standard tremolo bridge for solid tuning stability and consistent intonation. The bridge pairs nicely with the poplar body and arched top to produce a resonant, well-balanced acoustic tone. Tuning is kept consistent during intense practices, recording sessions and live shows thanks to the bridge's reliable design.

Premium Black Night or White Aesthetic

With a Black Night finish with elegant white binding or White finish with black binding and chrome hardware (on both), the GRGA120 has a cool, stylish look that matches its edgy sound. The striking color scheme is an ideal match for aspiring rock guitarists ready to take the stage.

Man I am impressed I got it expecting to have to do a lot to it to make it sound good but I checked everything out and it was perfect can't believe the quality out of the box definitely a deal

  • It's fine for the price point

It's on the lower side of the curve of Ibanez products, and it sounds that. Feels good, and I like the looks, but it is lacking in the pickups response and overall sound. I expected this when buying, as it is not my first lower end Ibanez. Gonna swap some new pickups in it, and were off to the races.

  • Great starter guitar, but it's time to move on.

This guitar is great until you want to do 1 step bends as the pickups do not allow for that sound to be achieved. Other than that, I've loved this guitar and would recommend it to anyone starting out.

  • Great guitar for the price

Ordered online. Arrived sooner than expected to the selected Guitar Center. Very happy with the packaging. The guitar works as advertised out of the box. Typical Ibanez fast neck, very comfortable. The guitar is designed such that the reach up to 24th fret was effortless. Guitar is very light for its class. Therefore a lack of sustain compared to its peers is totally expected and normal. The whammy bar and intonation were not optimally set. I had to adjust the whammy bar spring tension, and then adjust intonation. Now it plays the way I want it. Very happy in the end with the sound, feel and quality considering it is only a GIO model.

With some tweaking with a professional technician, the fret buzz can be eliminated. The sound is great for the stock pickups. Add a few pedals or get a line 6 amp.(any version) and you wont be disappointed. If your high E string hangs up it needs a fret dressing. For my rock/blues playing I use the EB slinky strings for practice and MAYBE a small gig, but the strings I find the best for staying in tune and longevity on this guitar is the D'addario NYXL's.

  • Beautiful color, solid body!

This is a newer guitar style for me. I like it but I'm still getting used to it. That's why I gave it four stars. I recommend the beautiful blue. That's the one I bought. You won't be disappointed.

Yes. All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. This will be approximately 7.5 – 9.0 lbs

Not at all. However, your question isn't clear. A guitar cable is judged by length and gauge. Never go more than 20 feet. The lower the gauge the better. This is the best we have "Livewire Elite Instrument Cable 10 ft. Black"

Two questions about the specs of this guitar asked if it had locking tuners and if it had a floating bridge. Both were answered, "YES". The Gio has these specs? Really?

I apologize for the confusion. It's a tremolo bridge. I don't think they're locking tuners

If you purchase just the guitar itself then it may be delivered in a box with the brand's logo on it, but if you're getting a few items it will be put in another box.
