Ibanez AGS73FM Artcore Semi-Hollowbody Electric Guitar Violin Sunburst

The AGS73FM features a select-grade maple top, back, and sides. The fretboard is warm, bound Laurel, contrasted by brilliant block inlays. The Artcore mahogany neck has proven its reliability on thousands of Ibanez hollow and semi-hollow bodies throughout the years.
The Classic Elite pickups are moderate output, warm in tone, yet very responsive for various music genres. Sure Grip III knobs provide non-slip functionality and an ART-1 bridge provides improved sustain and tuning stability. Case sold separately.

Currently practicing as the setup is a bit different than my other models. Strings were OK but quite thick, replaced with D'Adarrios for better tone and tuning. After some break-in will gradually be worked into the rotation. Great sound and tonal qualities... a keeper.
Perfect small body Jazz guitar

This is a very nice guitar. It's a great guitar for Jazz if you're looking for a smaller body than the normal 16 inch wide 335 style guitars. The finish is great and the body and neck are near perfect! The only downside is the pickups. While these Ibanez Classic pickups are OK, the guitar is dying for a change. A Seymour Duncan 59 or Seth Lover in the neck could make it perfect. Or perhaps a kent Armstrong or Loallar could also work. Swap out the pickups and you have a sweet axe for about a $1000.00 less than a Gibson ES235

Guitar played well out of box.Good tone, good action, no fret buzz.. Has a good feel and balanced tone. I found some of the Ibanez semi acoustic in this price range to have too much of a solid body feel and tone. This model does not totally fell like a solid body and has a good semii acoustic sound.Have bot used it on a job yet, but so far, it feels like a winner.

A few years back I purchased an Ibanez ags 83, now no longer manufactured. Used it as my main guitar. It developed a buzz which I could not get rid of. So I retired it.In my search for a new guitar I purchased a semi hollows(eastman 380 arch top which turned out to be a guitar which I was not pleased with. I have nothing good to say about this eastman guitar.Ended up purchasing an Ibanez am 93. Found this guitar to play very well (Good feel, Nice Tone etc..) My main dislike was I thought it sounded and felt to much like a solid body. Missing my ags 83, I thought i would try the ibanez ags 73 Fm which to my knowledge took the place of the ags 83. Have not used on a job yet however out of the box intonation, feel, tone, action, are all very good. Liked it right away..Also has a more semi acoustic sound to my liking than the ibanez am 93. At this time it looks, sounds, and feel like a winner.

Was set on making up my mind about a new Guitar and spent 2 h trying out different brands /models in the 500 $ range. Did set up a test stand , so that i could quickly go forth and back between different models to compare the sound with the same amp i have at home. Most sounded good, but not enough to make me want them. Then, i saw this beauty, never really looked much at Ibanez, but hey, lets try it. Love at first chord played is all i can say... There was no need to go back to compare again. But then , it was a used one , so i thought ok , i will order a new one another time and bought some strings so that i bring at least something home with me. Sat in the car and was about to drive of and it felt like, you know, you found the one finally. Could not leave without that Gem, wanted it right now (i am absolutely NOT a impulse buyer), so went back in the store and bought it. Drove of in the sunset together , guitar riding shotgun with me, and never looked back....
Sweet as it Looks !
