Ibanez

collapse expand iconDescription

The Artwood series is the embodiment of what might be called the Ibanez “modern approach to tradition.” Cutting-edge woodworking technology enables the guitar maker’s luthiers to reproduce the sophisticated bracing techniques of one-of-a-kind instruments of yesteryear.

While tradition is obviously the hallmark of the Artwood series, the company’s decades-long search for the ultimate in acoustic tone has contributed to design alterations that give Artwood a voice all its own.

The grand concert body shape of the AC340, along with the solid mahogany top and shorter scale delivers a wide dynamic sound when strumming, quick response when fingerpicking, thanks to the lightweight open pore natural finish. Its mahogany top, back and side body construction creates rich, bright and balanced tonal character. ”Thermo Aged” tonewood, made by a special drying process, is used for the bridge and bridge plate for amazing response. The bone nut and saddle were chosen for bone's superior ability to transfer string vibration naturally. Ibanez Chrome open gear tuners ensure smooth and stable tuning.

Love this guitar. Got this as an upgrade to my beginner fender which was less than $200. Wow what a difference. Looks beautiful, sounds great, easier to play, smells good too. I love that I can plug it into my katana amp too or just play acoustic. Highly recommend quality is great

  • A great guitar for the money, truly a "budget" Martin!

This is by far the best guitar you can get for $399 USD. I bought it as an extra practice guitar (my main guitar is a Larrivee OM-3) and it has definitely exceeded my expectations for what a "cheap" guitar is capable of. It is beautiful, the neck feels good and the tone is very well balanced across all six strings. If it had a little more boom on the bass strings it would absolutely be just as good as any $2k Martin, IMO. If you're looking for a killer acoustic in a budget, this is it!

  • I would buy this guitar again
