Hercules

Description

The Single Guitar Stand with SFF on Legs features the innovative Hercules Auto Grab System (AGS) yoke: the arms turn in and up with the weight of your guitar to hold it securely and simply open up when you lift it off. The legs and all contact points with the instrument feature Specially Formulated Foam (SFF) rubber to protect your guitar's finish. Also features the Hand Grip Height Adjuster, which makes adjustments a breeze with a locking pin to secure the stand in place. A folding backrest flips down to support your guitar and back up for storage and transport.

All Hercules stands are safe for most nitrocellulose lacquer finish guitars*.

*Hercules tests for many types of nitro finish, however some guitar manufacturers change their nitro mixture often. Guitars should never be stored on a stand...always in the case.

Best Stand You Can Buy

I've owned this stand for three years and have used three other stand styles in the past. I can say this is the most versatile, easy to use, sturdy and gentilest stand for your guitar. With adjustability of the leg spacing, neck height, and the auto grab feature, this stand is a dream to use and will fit any guitar. Quick setup and teardown while locking your guitar in it's place and no worries of knocking it over. Did I mention that this is a VERY sturdy stand? The specially formulated foam legs protect your guitar back and headstock. I use this stand on my all wood guitars and an Ovation that is difficult to fit in other stands. Not so in the Hercules! Three years of hard use and this stand is like the day I bought it! Check these out before buying another stand.

Never again

Less than 1.5 years of use and this stand is now useless. The adjustment handle is disintegrating with a sticky substance oozing from it's surface. The roll pins that serve as the pivot points for the locking mechanism have broken out of the sides of the handle rendering the locking mechanism worthless.

Adjustment handle deteriorated to point it could not be used. Two units had to be trashed in less than 10 years. Such problems should not occur at this price point - or any price point.

  • Very sturdy, adjustable, and portable.

I use it for outdoor gigs on windy pool decks by the beach. It stands up firm and straight and holds my guitar securely. When the gig is over, it folds up nice and small.

The plastic adjustment breaks down after 1 to 2 years and the stand is not only useless, it's impossible to handle because of the sticky substance associated with the disintegration of the plastic. A piece of JUNK at best.

  • Disappointing. Quality lacking.

The stand sat in my practice room holding my bass guitar for about 2 years. It stayed in the room and I never took it to a gig. It sat there never moved or never adjusted to hold a different guitar. One day, I took out my bass to practice and the plastic grip simply fell apart. The pins and the spring fell apart on the floor. The plastic grip and the adjustment knob for the legs were sticky and gummy and left a residue on my hands and fingers. No one else uses this stand. It's been rendered useless. I loved the upper portion that held the guitar neck, but the adjustment apparatus is poorly designed and made from unsuitable material.

I had 3 of these, all broken within two years. the top clamps break and will not open and close to secure a guitar, the plastic melts if left in a car on a hot day and become too sticky to touch, like a melted ball of tar,and one time the spring and pins popped out of the handle. Cheap junk.

  • Well worth the money.

This is the second one of these standsxthat I've purchased. They hold my guitar or bass securely and yet they come apart for easy transporting. Since it comes apart it fits very nicely in my gear bag with my Hercules morning c stand and Hercules Golding music stand. I would whole heartedly recommend these products.
