Best boom mic stand I have seen!

This thing is typical Hercules quality. The mic clip holds the mic in place and the clamp that holds the mic clip at the angle you want ain't gonna move (once you clamp it). The knob that you turn to raise/lower the boom angle really locks it in...it will not drop on you. What's cool about that knob is that you can unloosen it, straighten out the tube, and it fits in the lower tube to make it a straight up and down mic stand. And it is very stable. There is a "hand clutch" you can squeeze in and raise/lower the bottom tube that the top tube slides into. Very sturdy tripod stand. You can make all these adjustments in seconds and break it down fast too. Don't waste your money and frustration on any other mic stand like this. Worth every penny.

I used to run sound at a local bike shop and this is the only stands they had available. They are the absolute strongest and most versatile stands I've ever used. Collapsing into them selves (like some higher-end drum hardware) just makes sense. I'm replacing ALL of my mic stands with these. Now I don't have to carry both straight and boom stands, because these can be EITHER quite easily! If you are thinking about pulling the trigger on these I can make an EASY recommendation. JUST DO IT! The couple of extra bucks you have to spend will be MORE than worth it considering the versatility and longevity you can expect from these QUALITY BUILT stands!

this stand is heavy and durable ... just like the name hercules ... all that needs to be said .. i bought an extra mic quick release from musicains gear ... which i realized was a mistake because this stand comes with one ... it folds compact and is easy to carry ... you can feel the quality in the legs alone they are very strong .... if you are in a church stage situation and need to collapse your stand when you leave the stage .. this stand is hands down the one you need for a fast efficient action.. even in a battle of the bands scenario the faster you are setting up the more time you have to play and this stand is about 3 times faster setting up than a normal stand

This is a well made microphone stand that is easy to use and set up. I will never go back to the cheap boom stands after using this one. It was worth the few extra dollars for a quality stand.

When I bought this stand, I wasn't aware that the boom actually fits inside the main shaft of the stand. It takes up a little less room in the car and is a lot less awkward to carry. Its also built like a tank! I'm going to buy all my mic stands from Hercules. They really are rethinking standard gear.
