    Very sturdy stand. Nothing cheap about it. Grips the headstock automatically when placed on the stand, and releases when picked up to remove. I was unable to get a definitive answer, regarding whether the rubber-like pads are safe for nitro finishes, so, as a precaution, I wrapped the pads with cotton cloth (old T-shirt) material at the contact points. Couldn't be happier with this stand.

    Highly recommend this guitar stand very heavy duty We'll secure your instrument without worrying that it will fall off very well made and heavy duty if you need a guitar stand look no further this is the one I have owned a lot of Guitar stands. This is the best one I've ever had by far.

    Bought this because I have used them frequently when visiting Guitar Center's Les Paul room, and know they are convenient and very stable product. Also Hercules stands are apparently one of the few that will protect a nitro finish. #sweepstakes
