Better than cradles that come with the rack

This is an expansion cradle for the Hercules GS523 and GS525 guitar racks. The cradle itself matches those that come supplied with the rack, but whereas the originals slide along or rotate around the tube held in place only by non-adjustable friction, these add-ons clamp onto the tube neatly and securely with a concealed nut and bolt. Not that the originals are loose, but these are more secure and since they can be adjusted, will stay that way. Also supplied are split foam separators that have a big clip inside them to allow slipping them over the two bottom rails to keep instruments from bumping together.

Not a what I was expecting.

The foam rings are narrower and have a cut so you can slip them on without dissassembling the stand. The neck thing is split also with a screw to tighten it to the rack. Not a good as the ones tha came on the stand.

Nice addition to my existing rack. Easily adds storage for 2+ guitars to your Hercules.

I use it in my home studio- uses less space than guitar stands because guitars store sideways - you must get use to putting guitars in sideways but is a very secure way to stand your guitars up - they are ready to pick up and play - it is a guitar rack - highly recommended for three or more guitars if standing around ready for play. 3 or 5 guitar rack with expander.

How many pieces do you get in this pack? Ie... how many extra guitars can be hung per pack?
