HeadRush - Your Perfect Tone Is Just A Touch Away

The HeadRush FRFR-112 powered speaker cabinet allows guitarists to hear their modeled tones with stunning accuracy. Equipped with a custom-voiced 12" woofer and high-frequency driver, it delivers a perfectly balanced frequency response across the full spectrum without artificial coloration. Thanks to 2,000 watts of peak power, it provides jaw-dropping clarity and volume with headroom to spare.
Hear Your Modeled Tones as Intended
If you've invested in a high-end amp modeler or multi-effects pedalboard, you owe it to yourself to amplify your tones through a full-range, flat-response cabinet like the FRFR-112. Its specially tuned components provide a transparent platform that represents the full range of frequencies in your modeled guitar signal with stunning realism. Now available at Guitar Center, dial in your dream tone through your modeler and experience it come to life.
Plenty of Power for Any Venue
With 2,000 watts of peak power on tap, the FRFR-112 delivers volume and headroom for stages and rehearsal spaces of any size. Its high-powered design also provides a punchy, articulate low end, sparkling highs and a robust midrange for a balanced overall sound. Connect via the XLR output to send your mix to the house PA or link multiple FRFR-112 cabs together when more stage volume is needed.
Flexible Connectivity Onboard
The FRFR-112 provides hassle-free connectivity for any situation. Two XLR/TRS combo inputs, each with their own volume control and clip indicator, make amplifying two separate sources a breeze. A ground-lift switch helps eliminate unwanted noise. Use the tilt-back cab as a monitor wedge or mount it to a speaker pole for an ideal personal monitor.
Contour EQ For Any Environment
A Contour EQ switch helps compensate for troublesome room acoustics by reducing excessive lows and mids. Engage the switch to cut through muddy stage mixes or problematic rehearsal room sound for a balanced tone in any environment.

Excellent!!!!
The HeadRush FRFR is a solid piece of equipment. It's fairly heavy, but that's to be expected considering it's basically a powered guitar cabinet/monitor. I put the HeadRush FRFR through it's paces over the last few days. I brought it outside, and I started at level one. I turned on the contour option, which helps with lower volumes, like a loudness button works on some sound systems. As I started raising the level, I noticed it getting a little muddy, but soon realized it was caused by me leaving the contour option on. Once I turned it off, it was crystal clear once again. I got it up to 4, and it was VERY LOUD. Over the next few days, I have been playing it, and getting a little higher volume each day. Yesterday (July 4th), I kicked it up to level 7, and played the Star Spangled Banner. The neighbors loved it. It was heard many houses away. It was LOUD. While playing with it for a while, I decided to take this for a real test. I cranked it to 11 (yes, it goes to 11), and hit an E barre chord. I was thrilled to find that the signal did not distort at all. There is plenty of headroom in this unit, so you can crank it and it will retain clarity. I am very happy with this unit. An incredible unit, and an incredible bargain considering the price.

Over Hyped, Save Your Money
( DISCLAIMER) Let me start off by saying that maybe it was just my unit that I had, or that I possibly never figured out how to dial the modeler I was using properly. Everyone is different and perhaps the settings I was using was not correct for the cabinet's character. But that being said, I found this cabinet to be a total let down. I bought one of these to go with my Kemper because I wanted a budget friendly solution and I had heard great things about this unit over the web. I kept the Headrush for about 2 weeks before returning it. I never once got a usable sound out of it. It's built really well, and I like what they were going for, but the unit just sounds bad in my opinion. It's Way too bassy, all the clean sounds sound like they have a towel over the speaker, or it has a cold, and there's no way to get rid of it either by using the contour feature or through adjusting EQs through the modeler. The high gain sounds were the worst. It really lacked any real definition and it was hard to tell the difference between a 5150 profile, and a Plexi. IT also has a weird shrill sound out of it at louder gain volumes which was odd. The last thing that killed it for me was that it had an annoying hiss sound, which could of just been my unit but it was super unpleasant. To conclude. I can't recommend this unit out there to anyone. It's not a terrible unit, but I just feel like there are better options out there. IF you are on a really tight budget and can't afford anything else, its okay, but I would recommend getting the 108 model of this. It's a little smaller, but it has the same sound quality, plenty loud, it's cheaper, and I feel like that would be a better purchase. That way you wont be spending an extra $100 on this to see if you like it or not. If you can save up a little more cash I would HIGHLY!! recommend the Laney LFR 112 Powered Cab. It's a much better cabinet, and is in that same more budget friendly price range, and just sounds fantastic!

Not nearly 2000 watts

I don't know why they claim 2000 watts. It's more like SS 50 watts output. Quite weak.

I run an RC-500 looper directly into the Headrush 112. I set output B to carry the recorded loop and drum track. Great thump on the bass, overall good clarity. Output A goes to my amp (live guitar), output B to the Headrush. The RC-600 may be a nice upgrade because it has IRs. Very impressed with overall volume handling, without any distortion. Makes playing more fun and inspiring. Astounding price breakthrough. Yes, the RC-500 has an unbalanced TS output, which works into the Headrush. No buzz or hum. Much louder and superior bass handling over the smaller version of this unit, but the 112 heavier and bigger.

I'd like some input from any bass players that have used this. I have a couple of preamp I could use with it, but I'm wondering if its worth taking a chance? Thankd
I’m very sorry. Your question is not clear. I'm a bass player. I don't understand your reference to preamps. Preamps don't matter. I would not recommend this for a bass. It's a full range guitar cabinet. It won't do lows well and has no punch.submitted3 years ago

Is this not exactly the same as an Alto TS312 12" 2-Way Powered Loudspeaker??? https://www.guitarcenter.com/Alto/TS312-12-2-Way-Powered-Loudspeaker-1500000205877.gc?source=4XBACR A/B the two and let me know.
Although these speakers have very similar specs, they are a different vendor. There is a difference in the HF driver as posted below. HEADRUSH FR1212 HF Driver: 1.5-inch (38.1mm) neodymium HF driver with precision waveguide ALTO TS212High Frequency: 1-inch (25 mm) neodymium driver with precision waveguide
