Hart Dynamics

Description

Kontrol Screen drumheads are an alternative drumhead technology Hart Dynamics has been working on since the early '90s. They are the next generation of mesh drumhead technology and are as close to their Mylar (acoustic drumhead) counterparts as it gets. These heads feature incredible feel, extreme durability, virtually silent operation, and are manufactured exclusively for Hart by Aquarian U.S.A., using Hart Dynamic's proprietary material and specifications.

Kontrol heads are custom designed to fit properly on all acoustic and electronic drums. Install them on acoustic sets to practice without excessive volume or replace the heads on your electronic drums for unsurpassed feel, sensitivity, dynamics, and durability.

After talking to Alesis and finding out they didnt have replacement heads I would have to buy a whole new drum this was the greatest solution. And so far it has a better feel than the original head. And appears it may also have a longer life !! Great product!

i bought just one head for my snare so i could see if mesh heads were a possibility for me.where i live i cannot be making a lot of noise, so i tried silencer pads only to be dissapointed by them. these heads are really good, they are not 100% like the real ones, but they are pretty close. they feel similar to the ones roland uses on their kit. i think they are very usefull for practices, they still make enouhg sound so u can hear it. i'm anxious to get the rest of the heads to complete my kit so i can finnaly get to play at home. i might get the ones by pearl( cause of the price) but these heads are great. the only drawback of them is that since u have to change the head, it might be a pain in the butt if u want to switch it out for the real ones to play a gig and they go back to practice head; but if u won't be taking your kit on tour and u only practice in it, buy them.

I have both these and Roland heads on my set (Roland does not make the size that would fit my snare). These heads have a slightly different feel than the Rolands. The Hart heads are less "bouncy". They are well made. They have a good feel and cost less money than the Rolands. So, if you are looking for a head that has a less "bouncy" feel than the rolands, get these. They are also (to my ears) a little quieter than the Roland heads.

These heads are awesome. I bought a 14" and 22" for my snare and bass drum, respectively. I have the Pearl mesh heads on my 3 toms, and I wish I would have spent the extra money on 3 more of these Hart heads instead of the Pearl. They feel very realistic, are strong as hell, look great, and give you just enough sound to make playing in an apartment fun, without annoying neighbors/roomates. Definately recommend these. Very good product.
