purchased in store on 9/12/2015. hooked it up next day using 2 old cerwin vega speakers. hooked up some drum mics and a vocal mic. dialed it in and started whaling. went for two hours without any volume swells or buzzing. decent amount of power to lively up the drums enough to keep up with big amps. with the speakers im using it thumps vocals came in well also.!!!! this unit runs hot!!!!! make sure not to crowd this unit and give it some space to breathe. wish it had left right balance control but other than that no complaints. didn't run it without power conditioner but I always use them so who knows how noisy it might be.(its quiet for me)overall good unit so far. if it holds up I will come back and give it 5 stars

Bought this powered mixer to replace my Samson SD8 that finally died. If you are looking for high quality save yourself the frustration and spend another $100. If you are on a tight budget this will get the job done as it offers decent options for the price. I say I recommend to a friend based on not having high expectations, but it will get the job done.

Comments about Harbinger LP9800 Powered Mixer:

I purchased it to play small venues and use for rehearsal. Used it for vocals only for one gig and immediately returned it. The channels peak and distort when volume is turned to 10am. The mains and monitors peak when the volume is turned to 9am. The reverb effects have a horrible ring. The 25db pads act like a mute button. The tone controls are not consistent. It appears that very cheap components were used in this product. You get what you pay for. Don't waste your time or money on this mixer.

Comments about Harbinger LP9800 Powered Mixer:

I recently purchased this mixer. It is powering 2 older non powered Community speakers and 2 Yorkville monitors. I had 3 microphones and 3 acoustic electric guitars plugged into it. Very clear sound with vocals and guitars. Plenty of power. Enjoyed various sounds with specific controls. Plan to use it for open mics and small venues. For the price, very pleased.

Comments about Harbinger LP9800 Powered Mixer:

I bought one as a backup to our Yamaha 300W powered mixer but decided to use it in a medium size club last night for our five piece classic rock band. Anyway, the thing worked great and we got it dialed in pretty quickly. We ran two Mackie 112 mains and four EV monitors. I didn't check if it was running hot but it worked perfectly for the four hour gig. Everyone seemed happy with it and some people in the audience said our sound was great. It looks like a pretty good value to me if it continues performing like it did last night.

Comments about Harbinger LP9800 Powered Mixer:

Purchased this for small venues and rehearsal. Set and ran ONE mic to the system using a set of Custom Built Line Arrays. Powered up for first use. System ran for 2 hrs and 20 minutes. Volume was set at 1/2 volume gain was on the mic was less than 25%. Unit shut down, so hot you couldn't touch the back. Returned it to the store and Sales Person stated it was because or Line Arrays needed more power than the system could handle so it went into thermal shut down! Really? Our arrays are rated at 600watts at 4omns impedance, peaks at 880watts! NEVER buy this junk! Sales Person needs Proper Training!
