Excellent book. I've owned a number overstayed years and given them to new players. A well written book with a ton of basics no more.

This book is excellent. It's got everything a player needs(except talent). It's got basic repair jobs, how to set the guitar up without ruining it, biographies of some of the most influential players, chord diagrams, picking and strumming patterns for a multitude of musical styles, diagrams for wiring electric guitars, advice for mic placement and sound recording tips, and a handful of other useful tips. I've owned this book for years and bought and gifted copies to fellow guitar/bass players because it's not just a guidebook, but a valuable tool. If you spend time learning scales/modes/chords, or are just learning how to do basic set-up and repair jobs, this is exactly what you're looking for.

Great reference book for all levels of player. Helped me get through the tough beginings of learning to play.
