A great book for guitar players looking to up their skill and understand the craft of music.

I already knew a great deal of the material covered in this book but the tests and audio lessons are making me reach for greater heights of guitar knowledge and virtuoso ability

I bought this specifically to use with the online access The "online access" is just a 2 week trial of a site I could have paid to use without buying a book. The book did not come with a cd or dvd, just a trial code.

There was no dvd, not as advertised.

This book has helped me tremendously. I had taken a Music Theory class at Full Sail University where I go to college. It was mostly theory on the piano, well Im a guitar player so I wanted to learn more about that. I got this book and have learned beyond what i thought i was going to. The CD it comes with is great to because instead of just seeing it on paper, you can actually hear it too. If you are wanting to learn guitar theory, this book is a great buy.

I love this book. I got it because i really wanted to know how music works and how to write it. this book starts out w/ the basics w/ reading music, learning different beats and tempos, scale/ chord relations and also ear training. This book has it all. if you are looking for a book that teaches you the basics of music for guitar, i highly reccommend this book!
