Perfect for my nephew just starting out. The book works for people who do and do not want to be in school band programs.

Very simple and straightforward. Learning music is not easy. This book and CD combo made it as simple as possible. The book tells you straight up how to read the symbols and notes. No filler, no useless mumbo jumbo; Just all the things you need to know. It has all the things you need to know about each piece of your drum set. It provides several exercises for each piece and incorporates them all as you continue. My only gripe is it can be a bit too vague on some subjects. The CD is amazing, very well made and easy to follow along with. Absolutely fantastic for beginners. Highly recommended

Can I just purchase the Online Audio? I already have the book 10 years ago with the CD; and now, the CD is already damaged.
