If you hear something in a TV show or in a movie and think "I wonder what the bass tab is for that...", there's a good chance it's in this book. Its size makes practicing with it a little difficult, but I either copy the tab down to a blank manuscript page, or photocopy the pages. Really fun book to have.

  • Good for learning

Awesome book for any bass player. I had ordered online for store pick up, but the copy they had for me was pretty beat up. I requested a reorder for delivery instead. It arrived after a few days in much better condition. My son is a beginner and loves picking through the songs and enjoys the diversity of the genres.

  • Buy it if you're looking to do covers

This book is amazing. I would give it 1,000 stars if I could. I've only owned it for a week and I think it has already payed for itself. I've already learned about a dozen songs from different bands, decades, genres...it's incredible. absolutely worth every penny I would recomend this book to any bassist that wants to learn the techniques and styles of some of the most successful bassists of all time. I don't know how I lived without this book.

  • A must have.

I bought this book when I first started playing bass. It's easy to read and includes bass lines from the simplest to the most complicated. It is easily the most diverse bass tab book I own. No matter who buys this book they will find something they like. Perfect for any bass player of any skill level.

The description states, "note-for-note bass transcriptions with tablature". Does that mean standard notation plus tablature? Or just tab? Thanks in advance.

    That would be both.
