Hagstrom Jazz Model Hl-550 Hollowbody Electric Guitar Gloss Natural Mahogany

Another Hagstrom exclusive is the resinator fretboard, an extraordinary, homogeneous wood composite that maintains a strong fundamental harmonic and eliminates wolf tones. It offers the articulate sound of high quality ebony but with more consistency and durability. Silky smooth, reliable and fast.
The Hagstrom Jazz HL-550 Guitar has a single floating custom HF-50 humbucker, combined with the resonant hollowbody to provide lots of warm, rich tone.
The self-lubricating graphite composite nut is much harder than bone or plastic resulting in more string vibration through the neck. Tuning is also improved and string binding is eliminated by self-lubrication.
A long travel Tune-O-Matic-style bridge and trapeze tailpiece further increase tone, sustain, and intonation quality.
18:1 Gear Ratio machine heads ensure fully accurate tuning.
A high-grade polyester finish that is hard, smooth, and more dense than polyurethane. The finish on the Hagstrom HL-550 electric guitar looks great and provides excellent protection and sonic performance. Case sold separately.

A Real Jazz Guitar for The Real Jazz Guitarist

There's alot of people that say you can't play rock and jazz and be really good at both. Rock is really great, but sometimes it's just cool to swing. This guitar is a swinging machine. When I first saw this axe up on the wall in guitar center, I had high hopes for it. Those hopes were crushed, because it sounded even better! When I took this thing home, I plugged it in and started blowing away on all the classics. Then when the end of the week came I went down to the jam session and debuted my new guitar. The second we started playing "Autumn Leaves" I knew that this guitar would stay with me forever. I felt like I was swinging with Dizzy and the Cats! The guy who runs the jam told me he never heard me sound so good, and he was right! I can't get enough of this axe!
