Guild Westerly Collection B-140E Acoustic Bass Demo

Guild

collapse expand iconDescription

Guild redefined acoustic bass guitars in the mid-1970s with the introduction of the B-50, based on the ever-popular Guild jumbo shape. The B-140E carries on this tradition, providing an impressively loud tone that can be easily amplified with its Fishman Sonitone Bass pickup.

Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and African mahogany back and sides, the B-140E features an Indian rosewood fingerboard and rosewood bridge, NuBone nut and saddle, and mother-of-pearl rosette. This model also has a 1-3/4" nut width on a mahogany neck, iconic Chesterfield headstock emblem reminiscent of 1960s Guilds, period-correct tortoiseshell pickguard and a premium gig bag.

I was looking around for an acoustic bass for about 2 years. I was always thinking I would end up with a Guild, as I have a Starfire II bass as my main. This bass does not disappoint! Great feeling and great sounding! I would recommend to anyone looking for a practice piece or something for light acoustic jams! IMO it is loud enough to play with an acoustic guitar player and some singing.

I just bought the Guild B-140E acoustic bass. It is an excellent bass and lives up to the Guild reputation. It has a beautiful rich tone unplugged and sounds great plugged in too! I play weekly in church and can't wait to hear it with the band. Great guitar!
