I bought this for my children expecting it to at least differentiate one note from another, but even myself as a professional musician cannot get any intonation from this toy. Total plastic trash, and sad there is no recyclable plastic marking. Shame on the manufacturers, what will this garbage become? Another landfill collapse? Please stop flooding our world with useless trash; some of us actually do care about all these disposable consumer products being unloaded into our environment. It is not only the richest among us that can invest in quality instruments. Stop thrusting garbage upon us for your own profits. Buyer beware, for sure, but seller be accountable.

Bought 2 for my teen son, a trumpet player. He and a friend will be playing these as a duet for an indoor tea party. Easy enough for them to just pick up and play. When the event is over, i have hopes that he will be able to teach my little girl to play it.

  • Don't bother with it.

Sorry GC, but the people must know. Do not buy if you want a musical instrument. Real airy and chiffy(raspy) sounding and it has to be blown into hard to differentiate the notes.

  • Just a toy

This is a toy and should be considered as such. I bought these for my kids who are into the Zelda games. It can be used to play some simple melodies from the games. I have bought other ocarinas in the past, and this one is not as versatile as the other ones with higher quality.
