cool guitar, low quality control from Gretch

Bought this guitar a few weeks ago online, the first one came with a crack in the heel of the neck; had to drive it 40 min to store, GC overnighted a new one, it came in better condition, but the pickup was upside down. It sounds and plays great, but a pain.
Beautiful guitar but pickup logo/decal is cheap

This is an awesome guitar— sounds beautiful, built solid for a 3/4 size, very nice matte finish, deep rich sound unplugged and super fun plugged with an OBNE pedal. I originally got it because I wanted an acoustic-electric that was small/portable and this GR delivers with amazing sound quality. The only thing is the Gretsch decal on the pickup peeled away when I removed the plastic film (as someone else mentioned) but I ended up just taking it off fully because I love this guitar that much and still think it's beautiful without the decal. My new favorite as of now
QC Issues with Paint / Gretsch Logo on Pickup

I'm now on my THIRD attempt of picking one of these up without QC issues with paint. On the pickup, there's a Gretsch logo in gold that they covered with a plastic film that you peel off of. Both times I went to pick one up, the paint peeled right off along with it. (The employee at the store peeled it off the second time and it did the same thing.) Also, on the 2nd one I attempted to pick up, there were also some specs on the upper body that had some discolored paint on it as well. (The employee tried using some spray cleaner to wipe it down but it did not come off.) I'm now on my THIRD attempt to get one that doesn't have paint issues. For a BRAND NEW guitar, you'd think this wouldn't be happening... especially twice in a row. 3rd time's the charm? Gretsch if you're reading this, you need to up your quality control on these before they ship out. I'm leaving 1 star until they get it right. This is not Guitar Center's fault, but Gretsch's.

This guitar is a good little guitar for its purpose. At a good price point. You don't have to worry if it gets a little dinged up. Played nice with decent action out of the box.
killer pickup for dirty blues, awesome parlor guitar

Very impressed with this guitar. Awesome build quality. Set up perfectly out of the box. Plays great, very rich, balanced and full sound for a parlor guitar. The pickup is awesome for dirty blues, it sounds great with overdrive or fuzz but it can also stay clean with the right pick attack and amp settings. Much more interesting and dynamic tone than a typical acoustic preamp/pickup or piezo. The construction, fret work, and finish are all flawless. Stays in tune. I would recommend this guitar to anyone. This is my first Gretsch and now I want more. The website said made in China but my guitar is made in Indonesia :)
