I got this as a gift. It was my dream guitar, a falcon, any falcon. This falcon quickly became my number 1 electric. Pictures don't do her justice. She plays amazingly, sounds phenomenal and hits every note i need her to. Set up was perfect. Gretsch did it with this falcon!!

I own pretty much everything in the way of guitars. I have a vintage USA made Gretsch, Gibson Les Paul customs, Fender USA made Telecaster and Strats and numerous Gibson acoustics, Alvarez, Yamaha etc etc. This Gretsch Falcon made in Japan is absolutely flawless in its manufacture. This guitar was meticulously setup by somebody somewhere (most likely the factory?). All measurements of string height, neck relief, nut height and intonation were absolutely perfect. It is rare for me to receive a guitar that is perfectly setup unless I purchase from my local dealer. Hats off to Gretsch and Guitar Center for an immaculately shipped guitar. This thing plays effortlessly and sounds gorgeous. I run it through a Fishman Acoustic amp and a Fender 100watt Champion for the most part with zero feedback. I play it mostly clean with a smidge of reverb dialed in although it does take other peddles well on my board. It's also good completely unplugged although obviously not as loud as a full acoustic. This Falcon looks much better in person as the photos don't do it justice. It's right at home playing blues, country or rock. This Falcon is extremely versatile and I seldom use my Telecaster, Strat or Les Paul since it's arrival. If all these models come like mine did I can't imagine a better guitar purchase. I've always liked USA made vintage Gretsch guitars as I've owned mine new since the early 1970s but this made in Japan model is better made, better overall quality, more versatile and sounds better than my original vintage model. I would think anyone purchasing this guitar should be well pleased with its quality, performance and sound. It's just a great guitar and one I will keep and pass on to my children and grandchildren.
