Gretsch Guitars

Description

Only Gretsch could make sparkle sound this good. The G6129TG-59VS LTD 59 Red Sparkle Jet electric guitar brings timeless style and vintage bite to the spotlight. With its chambered mahogany body, arched maple top and dazzling red sparkle finish, it channels Golden Era Gretsch magic in a modern, pro-level build. A pair of TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity Filter'Tron pickups provides authentic late-'50s clarity and punch, while the String-Thru Bigsby and Space Control bridge offer smooth vibrato and stable tuning. From the studio to the stage, this guitar is designed for feel, flair and full-spectrum tone.

TV Jones Pickups in the Gretsch Red Sparkle Jet

Gretsch tone lives in the details—and this pickup setup nails it. The TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity Filter'Tron pickups capture the articulate highs, warm lows and percussive snap that made the earliest Gretsch jets so iconic. Individual pickup volumes, a master volume and a three-way toggle give players versatile control for blending tones—from jangly rhythm to tight, cutting leads. No matter the genre, this rig brings period-authentic tone with modern clarity.

Bigsby Vibrato System on the Red Sparkle Jet

The Bigsby B3GP String-Thru tailpiece gives this Gretsch jet expressive control and quick maintenance. Players can bend and shimmer with confidence, while the string-thru design makes changes faster than traditional setups. Paired with a Space Control bridge, pinned ebony base and Grover Sta-Tite tuners, this system holds tuning steady and handles stage demands with ease. The bone nut and smooth action seal the deal for working guitarists who expect both vibe and reliability.

Gretsch Hardware Layout With G-Arrow Knobs and Ebony Fingerboard

This Jet keeps performance top of mind. The layout features a three-way pickup selector and dedicated tone switch for easy tonal shifts mid-set. G-arrow knobs offer quick grip under pressure, while the 12" radius ebony fretboard with medium jumbo frets allows for smooth bends and articulate lead work. Thumbnail inlays and Luminlay side dots enhance visibility on dark stages. It's a setup that balances stage style with player function.

Chambered Mahogany Body on the Red Sparkle Jet

Resonant, lightweight and built to last, this Gretsch features a chambered mahogany body topped with arched laminated maple for warmth and snap. The nitrocellulose lacquer finish lets the tone breathe and age naturally over time. Gold hardware, a bone nut and a deluxe hardshell case round out the package, making it a trusted companion for road work, recording and everything in between.
