A great guitar for a great deal

I am a pro player who stumbled into the Gretsch world a couple of years ago. You really can't go wrong with them or this guitar. Why 4 stars? Give me a minute. First the guitar is a beautiful work of art as are all Gretsches. There was not a mark on the guitar. The binding was flawless, and the tuners (which I'll replace for locking ones) are very, very good. Better than I expected. The action was nice and low out-of-the-box. The frets on the bass side were perfect. but there was a little sprout on the treble side. Not much and no biggie really. That happens. The FT-5E Filter'trons deliver the same snap and clarity you'd get with the blacktops, but they are warmer in the neck position. The only gripe, and it's a minor one really is the Bigsby. This one was set high up, stiff, and it creaks when I swivel it. I'll attend to it when I have the locking tuners and the brass roller bridge put on. Despite that, I had ZERO tuning issues out-of-the-box.
Awsome!!
