I have been playing for 50 years and have always loved the attention a 12 string guitar garnishes and when you take this Rancher White Falcon out of the case and stroll to your perch on which to play, you can hear your audience gasp in awe at the spectacle. They are mesmerized by the guitar and wait in eager anticipation to be entertain. You can almost hear their heart beat. And when the full body sound emanates from this instrument it only takes a minute to watch the audience become captivated by the brilliance. They melt into the music and you got to bear witness. What a rush. You've conquered your crowd. It's a fine instrument.

Beautiful guitar but seemingly problematic
I use it professionally. To be perfectly honest I am disappointed with it. The Fishman pickup has a lot to be desired. Very minimalistic and it does not have an automatic tuner power down. Result - dead batteries. I would prefer a Fishman prefix 2. They are so much better. There is not much bottom ed sound but that may just be me being spoiled playing a Rainsong Jumbo for several years. Oh well, good luck.

I love the sound, but not the neck

Absolutely stunning Guitar beautiful and every single way sounded great. The electronics were wonderful, but the neck was like a baseball bat. It was very thick and made it unplayable for me. Except for short terms. If you have big hands, it might work for you, but unfortunately, not for me. Have since ordered a guild.

This guitar has remained in tune and the action seems very good. Can not find any issues at all. The guitar is beautiful and plays well.

Stunningly beautiful guitar. Great acoustic sound. Strong projection, action is good and it's well intonated right out of the box. The Fishman pickup sounds good and it's nice to have the onboard tuner. The only possible caveat would be that with a guitar this gorgeous you will want to have a good quality case or at least gig bag. The proper case from Gretsch is hard to find right now, I have one on order and expect it to take at least four months before I receive it. The case is also expensive. But a guitar not coming with a case is pretty much the norm these days.
A Well Made, Fun to Play 12 String

My 15 year old son suddenly developed a desire to have me teach him how to play after years of offering. It was either let him use my D28, though, or invest in something all his own. He had tried a 12 string and loved the sound. He settled on the Gretsch and, I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised. We love the on board tuner and the fact that he can go electric if he wants. Nice piece of gear.

I am a Sierreno musician, and this is a beautiful instrument, however, the case is not big enough for the guitar. For about two months I decided to remove the gold locks it has for the strap and putting them back on when I put my strap on. Which caused one of the screws which held the lock to unscrew. Decided to put it back on, and it discovered tightens by screwing left. Doesn't make sense since the only way your guitar fits in the case is by removing the strap locks, but when you are tightening the locks back on, it unscrews the screw that holds the lock.

I have seen several reviews that mention the case being too tight for the G5022CWFE-12 Rancher Falcon Jumbo 12-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar. I'm interested in buying one but which case should I order so I don't have to take the strap knobs off? Soft and hard cases with prices please.

Is there a soundhole cover (aka, feedback-buster) available for this quirky shaped opening between the bridge and the neck?
There isn't one that I can find. More than likely it would be a special order from Gretsch if it was available at all.submitted6 years ago

Where can I get a case the fits the Guitar
Most archtop cases will fit, but to be safe it would be best to bring it in and do a little trial and error to ensure it's a good fit.
