Gretsch Guitars

Description

The Gretsch G2655TG Streamliner Center Block Jr. Double-Cut is a limited-edition high-output performer built for players who want classic semi-hollow swagger in a more compact form. This model pairs a smaller arched maple body with a chambered center block for enhanced sustain, focused attack and impressive feedback control. Broad’Tron BT-3S humbuckers deliver tight lows, pronounced mids and smooth highs, while push/pull coil-splitting unlocks crisp single-coil textures on demand. Finished with gold hardware, pearloid Big Block inlays and a Bigsby B50 vibrato, the G2655TG balances vintage-inspired style with modern performance muscle in a sleek, stage-ready package.

Laminated Maple Body With Chambered Center Block for Enhanced Sustain and Feedback Control

The G2655TG features a smaller arched laminated maple body that delivers classic semi-hollow resonance in a more compact, comfortable frame. Under the hood, a chambered center block enhances sustain and attack while significantly reducing unwanted feedback at higher volumes. This construction allows the guitar to retain its airy openness and dynamic response while offering the focused punch needed for modern amplification. The result is a semi-hollow voice that feels lively and expressive, yet controlled and stage-ready—even when pushed into higher-gain territory.

Soft C Nato Neck and Laurel Fingerboard for Smooth, Confident Playability

A set nato neck with a soft C profile provides a familiar, comfortable grip suited to both rhythm work and fluid lead lines. The 24.75" scale length contributes a slightly warmer feel with supple string tension, encouraging expressive bends and vibrato. A 12" radius laurel fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets offers a smooth playing surface that supports fast runs and controlled articulation across the fingerboard. Pearloid Big Block inlays reinforce the guitar’s bold aesthetic, while the genuine bone nut enhances clarity and sustain at the source.

Broad’Tron BT-3S Pickups With Coil-Splitting for Modern Gretsch Power and Versatility

Loaded with Broad’Tron BT-3S humbuckers, the G2655TG delivers a modern Gretsch voice with added output and midrange presence. Utilizing a blend of Alnico 5 and Alnico 2 magnets, these pickups produce tight, full lows, strong mids and smooth, musical highs that cut cleanly through a mix. Individual pickup volume controls, a master tone and master volume provide flexible shaping, while push/pull coil-splitting introduces brighter, more articulate textures when needed. Whether dialing in thick rhythm tones or more chiming, open sounds, the Streamliner responds with clarity and authority.

Bigsby B50 Vibrato and Adjusto-Matic Bridge for Expressive Control

An anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge ensures precise intonation and solid string contact, working in tandem with the Bigsby B50 vibrato tailpiece for smooth pitch expression and classic Gretsch shimmer. The Bigsby adds subtle movement and character without sacrificing tuning reliability, making it ideal for everything from gentle warble to dramatic swells. Die-cast sealed tuning machines maintain dependable stability, while gold hardware and metal G-Arrow control knobs elevate the instrument’s striking visual presence.

A Limited-Edition Streamliner Built to Stand Out

The G2655TG Streamliner Center Block Jr. Double-Cut proves that a smaller semi-hollow can still deliver commanding tone and unmistakable style. With its center block construction, Broad’Tron power, coil-splitting flexibility and showstopping appointments, it offers a refined yet aggressive take on Gretsch tradition. Equal parts flash and fire, this limited-edition Streamliner is built for players who want vintage-inspired aesthetics backed by modern performance muscle.
