    The thing is built very stable and is a great low-profile stand. BUT...if you have a guitar with a Nitrocellulose finish, the back of the stand where the guitar rests will react with the finish, had to learn this the hard way on my Gibson Les Paul. I still use it but I throw a bandana over the back whenever I but a nitro guitar on it.
