The Godin LERXST Limelight LTD electric guitar brings back the spirit of Alex Lifeson's legendary '80s Hentor Sportscaster in a thoroughly modern form. Developed in partnership with the pioneering Rush guitarist and made in Canada, like the iconic band itself, the LERXST Limelight LTD offers the distinctive tone and playing feel that defined a generation of progressive rock. At the same time, it incorporates cutting-edge engineering and premium components to meet the needs of today's guitarists.
Resonant Swamp Ash Body
The LERXST Limelight LTD features a swamp ash body, just like the original Sportscaster. The lightweight ash delivers vibrant acoustic resonance with singing sustain. Its grain patterns and hues evoke vintage mojo. Plugged in, the swamp ash body produces rich, complex overtones that interact beautifully with distortion. This iconic body wood choice delivers the harmonically rich sounds that have defined Alex Lifeson's tone.
Slim Neck Profile and Ebony Fingerboard
The LERXST Limelight LTD has a slim, fast neck profile with a 12" fingerboard radius designed for speed and comfort. It allows effortless access to the higher frets thanks to the neck's hand-rubbed finish and contoured heel. The ebony fingerboard further enhances playability with its smooth feel and medium stainless steel frets. Custom LERXST Pickups
At the heart of the LERXST Limelight LTD are custom-designed LERXST humbucker and single-coil pickups. With an Alnico 5 magnet, these pickups capture the original Hentor tones, from shimmering cleans to saturated distortion. The humbucker in the bridge position has just enough bite when overdriven, while the neck and middle single coils sing with articulation. Switching between pickup combinations unlocks a diverse palette of tones.
Vega Tremolo Bridge
The LERXST Limelight LTD is equipped with a Vega tremolo bridge for expressive, fluttering pitch effects. The low-friction bridge allows effortless tremolo arm movement without compromising tuning stability. Guitarists can add vibrato, warbling textures, dive bombs and other unique sounds not possible with a fixed bridge. Complemented by a Graph Tech nut and 18:1 staggered locking keys, the Vega tremolo unlocks the LERXST Limelight LTD's full sonic potential.

Godin Original Purchaser's Limited Warranty
The Godin Guitar Co. warrants this instrument with regards to materials and workmanship for a period of ONE year from the date of original purchase to the original purchaser. The instrument shall be purchased only from an Authorized Godin dealer. Should the product require service, The Godin Guitar Co. will repair or replace the product free of charge during the warranty period. This warranty shall include all parts and labour. If service is required, contact your Authorized Godin dealer at which point it will be determined whether the guitar can be serviced locally, or should be returned to the factory. All return freight and insurance charges will be paid by the customer.
The following are not covered by the Godin warranty:
- Any instrument upon which the Serial number has been altered in any way. Any instrument that has been damaged due to misuse, neglect, or accident.
- Normal wear and tear including machine heads, worn frets, saddles and nuts.
Strings and batteries.
- Any instrument that has been subjected to extreme changes in temperature or humidity.
- Cracking or discoloration to the finish.
The Godin Guitar Co. assumes no liability for any loss of income, dissatisfaction, or damages arising from the loss of use of this product due to defects or availability of the product during service.
