Gibson SG Tribute Electric Guitar Natural Walnut

The Gibson SG Tribute Electric Guitar brings the iconoclastic spirit of the legendary SG to the stage. With its comfortable double-cutaway mahogany body and fast maple neck, the SG Tribute is built for high-energy playing. Powering its raucous tone are Gibson's Alnico II 490R and 490T humbucking pickups, which deliver a perfect blend of clarity and grunt.
Legendary Tonewoods Provide Sustain and Attack
The SG Tribute's mahogany body resonates with woody depth, while its maple neck adds brightness and clarity. Together, these tonewoods produce a sound that's both full and articulate. A rosewood fingerboard offers warmth and sustain.
Overwound Humbuckers Drive Hard Rock Sounds
Gibson's Alnico II 490R neck humbucker and 490T bridge humbucker are slightly overwound, giving the SG Tribute an aggressive voice that excels at hard rock and heavy metal. Roll back the volume knob for cleaner, vintage-style tones. A three-way toggle switch selects each pickup individually or both together.
Fast, Low-Profile Neck Inspires Speed and Comfort
The SG Tribute's rounded-profile maple neck has a slim, fast feel with 22 frets. Its 24.75" scale length provides tight, punchy bass and snappy treble response. A Graph Tech nut improves tuning stability for bends, vibrato, and heavy playing.
Time-Tested Hardware Anchors Your Sound
Nickel-plated hardware including a Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and stop tailpiece provide resonance and sustain. Vintage Deluxe tuners with keystone buttons keep the SG Tribute in tune through divebombs and squeals. Available at Guitar Center, pick up your Gibson SG Tribute electric guitar today.

I've been playing/gigging many years lots of guitars and always come back to SGs. The tribute may seem stripped down but it plays and sounds great. The satin finish let's the tone shine through!
My favorite of my four guitars

I am a songwriter.... I have a Les Paul a Martin and an SG. The Sg is my favorite. It is refreshing to know they still make them in the U.S.A. and this instrument has class and a extraordinary sound. The walnut is beautiful. The price is very good for this level of quality. I now know why I have friends that have had a Gibson for 40 years. This is one of the best companies on earth.
I'm very glad I bought this guitar!!!

This guitar is bare bones, but it has a great sound and feel! It was set up right out of the box, no fret buzz, no sharp frets on the edge. I plugged it right in and it sounds fantastic and feels great. I can see this guitar breaking in quite nicely! Very light weight, no neck drop. IMHO this is not a "beginner" guitar! It just doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a higher end guitar. This guitar would serve players of all ranges quite well. This guitar is a winner in my book!!!
I just play better with a Gibson SG

I spent three to four months shopping & trying every brand and line under the sun. I just kept going back to the SG. I'm so glad I did. The 24.75" scale, the nut width, the fret radius - everything perfect for my hands and my limited abilities. The 490 PU's are stunning as a bonus.
No frills with cajones - fits me perfectly

As a bass player, I just want to have a couple six string electrics that I can mess around with. I am not a lead, though I wouldn't mind becoming more proficient. This axe was good for me because it allowed me to get my hands on proper Gibson SG at a low price. No frills, but it doesn't need them. You buy a guitar for how it plays and how it sounds and this instrument does both really, really well. The 490 pickups are great. Tuning is important to me, so I'll probably modify the tuners on this guitar, but that's it. I am very having this axe in the arsenal.
