Taking a look at the pics on the website does not do its justice. I went in to look at a standard but walked out with this. Why? 57 classic pups with coil split, black binding (yes binding!), MOP Gibson inlay, smoked out inlays and hardware with black tuners. 60s slim neck that feels great. I didnt like that it has a richlite board but when I tried it, it looks and feels very close to ebony (on this particular guitar). I compared it to the 60s std, yes that has a nice top and rosewood neck but for over 1k less, this was a better buy and still a step above the regular studio. The one big negative is that it came with the soft case and not a hardshell but I can always get one. Would I recommend? Yes! Skip the regular studio and compare this to the standard.

Aesthetically this guitar is beautiful, the sound and play-ability is the best I have experience so far. It did come setup up off the shelf which was nice, they only caveat is to make sure you inspect and play the specific one you get before you buy due to quality control.
