Gibson

Description

The Gibson L-00 is a small-body design known for excellent balance and projection not found in similarly sized guitars. For many years it was an industry standard, especially for those in the blues circuit. This L-00 Studio acoustic/electric guitar continues this tradition with a throwback vibe thanks to a Vintage Sunburst finish.

Advanced Response Neck

The 2019 version of the L-00 Studio's Advanced Response mahogany neck is outfitted with a walnut fingerboard. The neck design is slimmer, with a flatter fingerboard, making it ideal for electric players transitioning to acoustic. A TUSQ nut and saddle ensures excellent transfer, while nickel Mini Grover Rotomatic tuning machines will help you keep it in tune longer.

ordered fron gc but they were out of stock so got elsewere. it arrived with high action, super glossy neck, finish issues, a loose truss rod and truss rod tool which won't fit on the nut because the carve isnt deep enough. i fixed all of the above issues myself because i liked the guitar despite the issues. the baggs pick up sounds great, i use a fishman loudbox and a boss ad2 preamp. nice deep, or bright sound, whaterever you prefer. played acoustically it is lacking but it is a very small guitar. i think gibson needs to hire people who won't pass a guitar through ( like taylor) if its not perfect.

I saw this one coming out of the box just before they put it on display - no one had played it yet. I was drawn to it because of the smaller body style. I do a lot of finger picking and smaller guitars are easier to play for me. I was very surprised at the richness and projection of its sound. Bass notes are not as throaty as my Martin J-45 but the middle and upper registers easily match the loudness of my maple bodied Taylor 600. I plugged it in to several acoustic amps and the sound was huge! I went into the store thinking that I might buy a Taylor T-5 and instead got completely sidetracked with this little L00. I've had it for a week now and played it every day. Very fast action for an acoustic guitar. A joy to play.

The preview images show more of a vintage burst color (with black edges), while the images in the description show a walnut burst color (with brown edges). If I order this product online, which burst color will the guitar have? Why are both variants called "walnut burst" even though the colors are different? Did guitar center do a custom order to make the L'00 studios come with a vintage burst? Thanks!

The one you would received would be the walnut burst color with brown edges. Sorry for the confusion.
