  • Amazing Sounding Guitar! Gibson sound I was looking for

Last September I traded a J-45 standard for this guitar at Guitar Center Nashville. For whatever reason I never clicked with the J-45 although it was a great guitar. But there is something about this Hummingbird that I can't put down. I love the simultaneous Gibson growl and balance that this guitar offers. I have never had a guitar with solid walnut back and sides before but, several months in, I can assure you it is a great tone wood. I have a great sounding Martin D-18 but it stays in the case now except for when I'm playing with my bluegrass peeps. For everyday playing I have fallen in love with the Hummingbird Studio Walnut. Mine was made in May 2024. Unlike the previous studio series, the guitar I traded for is a full size guitar with full body depth. I haven't seen many (any?) reviews of this updated guitar yet. I wanted to make sure to get one out there.
