Gibson Generation Collection | Hear More of You

Description
The Gibson Generation Collection G-200 EC AEG acoustic-electric guitar is designed for players to hear themselves like never before. While Gibson instruments are already known for their crisp and articulate tone, the G-200 EC features a Player Port side soundhole that elicits maximum sonic impact and allows players to hear their playing exactly as their audience does. A newly developed L.R Baggs Element Bronze pickup system ensures a warm, articulate tone with unrivaled dynamic range. With a slightly thinner cutaway jumbo body, the G-200 provides easy access to upper frets and a little more room to explore. Like all guitars in the Gibson Generation Collection, the G-200 features a Sitka spruce top, walnut body, mahogany neck and a striped ebony fingerboard and bridge. Now available at Guitar Center, this is a solid, durable instrument that is comfortable to play and a joy to listen to.

  • Constructed for Resonance and Balance
  • Portable Protection Included

Get surrounded by full-bodied acoustic tone

The Gibson Generation Collection G-200 acoustic guitar features an original Gibson design concept from the 1960s known as the Player Port. This adds a new dimension to the sound of this instrument as it allows players to directly hear the nuance and subtleties of their guitar playing. The Player Port design has been updated and refined to provide today’s guitarists with the most immersive acoustic playing experience yet.

Advanced pickup system

With its newly developed L.R. Baggs Element Bronze pickup system, the Gibson G-200 delivers balanced tone and the highest fidelity possible. Every Element pickup is pre-tested for optimal output and balance for clean, clear tone every time.

Resonant and versatile tonewoods

The Generation Collection G-200 is built to provide any playing style with resonance and projection. The solid spruce top and walnut back and sides provide a balanced, full tone, while a mahogany neck with an Advanced Response profile allows for comfortable play. A striped ebony fingerboard and bridge offer added durability and longevity to this hearty Gibson guitar.

Gig bag included

The Gibson G-200 acoustic comes with a modern soft guitar case for convenient storage and portable protection between gigs. Soft inner fabric and a tough exterior keep the guitar safe from nicks and scratches and it’s right at home in any studio, rehearsal space or bedroom.

The Gibson Generation Collection G-200 acoustic guitar is made for an all-around sound that must be heard to be believed. Along with the revolutionary Player Port soundhole and firey L.R. Baggs Element pickup, this jumbo-sized Gibson acoustic also features a TUSQ nut and Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners.

yeah theres no electronic junk inside so its just an acoustic guitar, I tried plugging in my amp and no dice, it also has some kind of acoustic volume knob in the guitar hole that makes audio soft/hard, maybe some sort of voodoo music reminds me of goo goo dolls

I have Martins and Taylors and everything else. This is my first Gibson acoustic, and it's now my all time favorite to play. Super light, and body size is perfect. I record and perform and this guitar is all you need!

Having played Gibson and Martin and Taylor acoustics I thought I'd give this new ideation a try. I was blown away by the tone and feel of the neck. Gibson has created a great songwriting /performance guitar. Highly recommend this acoustic to everyone.

Been playing for six years--on my own. 72 years old. Self taught. Learned to read basic notation in order to play melodies. No interest in chords, because singing along is not an option since my larynx was removed 15 years ago. To complicate matters,I am hearing impaired. Have just enough hearing that I can appreciate and hear someone playing right in front of me, even without an amp and it's beautiful! Been hearing about offset ports for years, but no one ever seems to have them in stores so I can try one out. Love the sound of the natural acoustics, and been wondering if this model would afford me that experience? Would love to play and hear same as I do when listening to someone else play. Feel I miss out because I can really only play and hear artificially with an amp. Thanks

It's got that side sound hole. It would be a great choice.

Is there a way I can cover the player port? I find that it creates a lot of feedback when playing live. Thanks!
