    I ordered a new tom stand from DW to replace an old Premier stand. The new DW uses a larger diameter L rod. I checked Gibraltar's site for the full specs and then ordered two new rods. These fit great with no issues. I would recommend checking the manufacturer's site beforehand if you're replacing old items. Sometimes what listed here is very minimal.

    The ball diameter on this rod is the same as the DW L-rod ball so you can use DW stands for other drum brands with 10.5 mm tom clamps.

    Will the SC-LBM L-Rod 12.7 mm work on the Tama Road Pro Tom and Cymbal Stand? Easy to remove the Tama 10.5mm L-Rod and ball on the Tama stand. Should the ball be the same size on both? Thank you
