Nothing will knock this over. I have cleaning robots so no problem. It is a good stand I just wish it weren't as tilted as it is. Very sturdy and strong. I don't think there is a way to have more upright than tilted. Glad I bought it. It will last. The height is adjustable for tall and short.

This stand is expensive , but that being said it is for a hand drum that takes abuse . It is solid and heavy ! Made of stainless steel it is about 20 pounds. I am so impressed by the quality of it . if i get another djembe i will be buying another . If you are playing live i am sure it will not fail ! I have been practicing with this instrument for a while now and it stays on the stand . When i did research online many pros had recommended it so i decided to buy one. It did not disappoint ! If weight is an issue you should consider looking around . But wow you cant go wrong practicing with this. My djembe is about 12 by 25 in tall . .The stand is fully adjustable . I dont know what the max is but its pretty wide and the tilt is awesome too . The height is really nice cause i sit on a fairly high stool for practice . The Doom and the teks are clear now so my technique is growing . Sure i am self taught but that shouldnt keep me from having the time of my life with this drum and stand . Just go for it if your going to play .
Not for all djembe drums

The good news is it is built like a tank. It's been mentioned in other reviews that it's heavy and that is putting it mildly. It's VERY heavy. The bad news for me is that my Pearl Elite djembe doesn't really fit in it very well. I can make it happen but it's not stable. The problem is that the arm braces at the top and the hooks at the bottom are both attached to the same piece of metal that is a fixed length. So the arms are up at the fat part of the drum where they can't go around it so they don't keep it from falling out of the stand. To get the arms to the thinner part of the drum you must tilt them down which makes the drum lean in towards you and again is likely to fall off the stand. I'd guess that's why you see this picture with the whole thing tilted at a steep angle. That's the only way my drum will stay in the stand.
We have purchase two of these stands.

A great djembe stand. Very solid, pretty easy to put together. When in use, doesn't take up as much room in a limited area as other stands did that we have used.
