Description

The Gibraltar Boom Cymbal Stack Assembly is equipped with a tilter. Allows 2 cymbals of any size to be placed on top of each other with a boom angle between them. Mounts on most 8mm cymbal stand tops.

      I have to admit, I was skeptical of the reviews and was buying on blind faith in other reviews and my general affinity for Gibraltar hardware, but this gadget exceeded my expectations by quite a bit. It's not awkward in the least; setup is a breeze and it really helps you get just the perfect angle easily in a tight space. My only caution would be that if you are mounting it on a tripod stand (as opposed to a full rack system), I would recommend limiting it to either a straight stand or boom stand set close to vertical, because this can unbalance even sturdier stands if you're putting a good size cymbal on it. Personally, I have a 22" Meinl Classic Custom Dark crash/ride mounted on an SPL straight stand, with a 16" Meinl HCS crash mounted on top with this stacker, and I've had no stability issues and feel comfortable putting a heavier cymbal on top.

      I really needed this, but pictures don't show how big and bulky it is. And the thing is quite heavy for its functionality and placement.
