Amazing Horn!

I Love This trumpet. I pulled it out of the box (a very large box for some reason) to see a very nice case and a shiny silver trumpet! It came with a very good 7C (although I'm on 3C normally) I also enjoyed the fact that there is a secret compartment in the case to put stuff in (for example you're at a gig and you put your phone in the compartment, some guy walks by looks in your case. Nothing in there except valve oil. He leaves and doesn't steal your phone) Not to mention the Duel mouthpiece slots are a nice touch as well. The Trumpet itself feels a bit different in the hands from most student trumpets ( i noticed that it felt smaller than the Bach Omega Student trumpet ) The tone is a bit bright but a little adjustment and you can have that solved. Also, Compared to my previous horn I didn't haft to extend my tuning slide as much. The horn has little to no air resistance and feels amazing to play. It's a lot easier to blow the horn through than others. The valves are lightning fast and smooth. The water keys are very nice as well and are probably more resilient due to less moving parts. Didi also mention that the case is big enough to fit multiple mutes in? I have a Harmon Wow-Wow in mine at the moment and there is plenty of space for a straight mute in there! (The case is kinda bulky by the way) overall I give it a 10/10 would trumpet again!

During my late teens and early 20's I played horn in a amateur jazz band. I greatly enjoyed music, but left the trumpet behind as I focused on school, building a career and starting a family. Now that things have slowed to a more reasonable pace I've decided to pick up where I left off. I had given my Bach Stradivarius to my younger brother and needed a new horn. I purchased the Getzen 590S-S as an intermediate horn to see if I still had it in me. I've gotten off to a good (re)start and am very happy with the Getzen Capri. I made an online purchase through Guitar Center. My purchase experience was wonderful and their price could not be beat. I am delighted with the ease of ordering and the in-store pickup. I highly recommend Guitar Center!
