Great axe!

This is an excellent guitar. Feels great and sounds great. Action was pretty much perfect on arrival. The only issue was a very slightly rough neck and about three minutes of steel wool attention made it perfect. I recently perchased a Fender Classic Vibe Thinline Tele and the ASAT is a much better instrument.
Sounds great. Build was about a 98%

I've been wanting a Tele for a very long time. I have an Epiphone Les Paul Custom Pro and an SG, and a Fender Stratocaster. The Tele was to complete the tone selection ;) I read nothing but great reviews and watched as many videos as I could before pulling the trigger. I was truly torn between this and the Blues Boy version, but wanted something strictly single coil. My only disappointment is that the volume know feels a little grindy. I may have to open it up and spray some contact cleaner in. Other weirdness is a static sound when touching the pick guard. Someone suggested wiping it with a dryer sheet which did the trick, but a piece of foil grounding would have been a simple add for the manufacturer.
Even better than what I dreamed of!

This is a very solid instrument of high quality and great sound. The pickups are hotter than standard Alnicos, of course, which I like. They aren't as noisy as standard Tele pups, but for recording I want very quiet, so I'm installing an Ilitch hum cancelling system which loses the noise but doesn't change the tone. Playability of the guitar is excellent, even though I prefer fat vintage necks. Setup and intonation was easy, and the neck is straight. I was skeptical about a guitar in this price range. My other two electrics are Fender and Gibson custom shop guitars that cost seven to ten times as much as this one, and it is no disappointment. I usually go for classic 60s tone, but it's great to have the more modern sound as an option. The MFDs do not have the standard Telecaster tone, but they sound great to me in their own right. The translucent orange on ash body looks terrific and inspires me to play. I got the tweed case and a leather Levis strap for it, which are also very nice. I don't gig, but play and record mainly classic rock style originals in my home studio basically every day.
Great full-sounding t-style

It's a great guitar if you're willing to do a full setup or pay for one. It took me a couple days to get the nut filed just right, adjust the truss rod accordingly, and finally set the intonation perfectly. I always expect to make some personal adjustments when I buy a guitar, but this one was unplayable. After I finally got it right, I love this guitar! The build quality is out of this world. Everything feels tight and the weight even. No nosedives! I got the clear orange and it looks even better in person! The pickups, though, are what sets this guitar apart from all other tele guitars. Being able to adjust each pole allows you to get a customized sound for your playing. If you play country or rock n roll then keep the poles low and get that twang. If you bring the poles up you can get P90-like sound out of the guitar. My neck pickup is adjusted fairly high and I could record jazz on it with the tone rolled back a bit. Anyway, from my experience, it was totally worth setting it up from top to bottom. It is now the most versatile guitar I can think of. It plays, sounds, and feels great!
