The GForce Software OB-E V2, their second-generation recreation of the legendary Oberheim OB-8, was created in partnership with Tom Oberheim and ex-Oberheim engineer Marcus Ryle (founder of Line 6) and is the first software instrument to receive a personal endorsement from Tom Oberheim. GForce calls the OB-E more than just an emulation, with a slew of new enhancements and additions.

Based on the Oberheim SEM (Synthesizer Expander Module) 8-voice, GForce has recreated the entire original analog signal flow, including Oberheim’s iconic Multi-Mode Filter. This unique Octaphonic architecture puts this incredible analog structure into the digital realm for modern composers, synthesists and sound designers to do with as they will.

Additions include new performance controls via velocity, polyphonic aftertouch and more. There’s also a new reverb, over 100 new patches add, for a total of over 700, plus a Drum Mode that puts a powerful analog drum machine on your controller. If you’ve always longed for an OB-8, there’s no easier way to get one in your studio setup.

LUSH, perfect modeling of imperfection!!! Stochastic intermodulation and incoherencies are devine!! So expansive, so gorgeous, so spacious, so spacey, so HUGE--a veritable TIME MACHINE back to the mid/late 1970s (I was there!!); The real deal--PHATNESS the OB-6 just WISHES it could deliver....just--WOW!! No wonder the G-Force team capitalized on owning and deconstructing the sounds on-now get this--Chick Corea's ACTUAL personal rig. If you love Zawinul/Weather Report, Lyle Mays-not to mention Rush/Prince/TheTime/StevieNicks/Talk Talk/Simple Minds/Van Halen-everything late 70s/80s. Reconstituted AMAZEBALLS. Caution: contains copious quantities of delectable AWESOMESAUCE in every byte!!
