Fryette PS-2 or PS-100 - Which One Do I Need?

Description
Fryette PS-100 Power Station 100, a revolutionary attenuator and power amplifier built into one incredible unit. Brought to you by the experts at Fryette Amplification, the Power Station 100 lets your cherished tube amp reach its full potential at any volume level—from a whisper to a roar—without sacrificing tone or feel. This innovative amp is a game-changer for performing and recording musicians.
Preserve Your Amp's True Character
If you've used a traditional attenuator, you know the frustration of losing your amp's tone and dynamics at lower volumes. The Power Station 100 solves this problem through advanced impedance-matching technology, enabling your amp to sound and respond as intended no matter the output level. Experience your amp's true nature, from subtle overdrive to rich distortion, at any volume.
Unparalleled Control and Flexibility
With two sets of footswitchable volume, presence and depth controls, the Power Station 100 puts you in complete command of your tone. Instantly switch between settings for ultimate creative freedom. A post-distortion effects loop, balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4" outputs provide even more routing options for recording and performance. Re-amp signals from any source for limitless sonic possibilities.
Built for Safety and Reliability
The Power Station 100 is engineered to properly handle the high voltages of tube amps, protecting your gear from damage. A "silent mode" safely provides a reactive load for silent recording, even with high-powered amps. This amp attenuator and reamper is built to withstand years of use.
A True Tone Shaping Tool
Use the Power Station 100 to enhance any amp, large or small. Crank a low-wattage amp and adjust the attenuator to get just the right amount of power and saturation. Add tube grit to modelers, preamps and reamp boxes. With so much tonal control and routing flexibility, the creative possibilities are endless.

I can play my '67 Twin Reverb at the sweet spot (7) on the volume and then dial the volume down to conversational level without any loss of that sweet Fender cranked up tone. It also has an effects loop. Something that is difficult to add to an amp without extra gear.
Great investment for the amp collection

Understand that as an amp this amp can be described as a amplification "platform"' . If you you send a moderate input signal in, you will get moderate amplification., hot signal in and you get serious amp output! Logical… The attenuator/power-soak works great and offers good sonic sculpting controls..I personally like the "depth" controls as they seem to be tweaked in a way that "flubbiness" is none existent yet low mid tones are accessible and open sounding . Note these controls are for last stage eq so are supposed to keep you out of trouble.. The "feel"of this unit is great! The playing dynamics means a lot to me .. I am using it as a two channel amp presently with different settings for rhythm and lead, verb pedal in effects loop .. sounds great, feels great ,is great!
Awesome!

Wow! This is an amazing piece of gear. It is well worth the money as it's very transparent (100 watt Marshall in apartment sounds great). Obviously it will never sound just like it would live as you lose air being pushed, speaker distortion, and feed back but this thing is doing a much better job then my Rivera Rockcrusher ever did. The loop is better then the one in my amp and it also has foot switch to remove it from the circuit. the variable attenuation is great and lets you hit that sweet spot of volume for any situation, unlike most other devices that have set levels of attenuation. My only complaint so far is it's heavy.

If used to power a preamp (ADA MP-1), will it also attenuate it as well, while using the MP-1? Just trying to build a simple rack rig with the ADA MP-1 and the Power Station, but needs to attenuate the volume.
