The Fret Zealot app introduces intuitive learning with an impressive suite of features that’s continuously being improved and updated to make the best guitar learning environment on the market! It lets you learn quickly and intuitively without the constant distraction of looking at books, videos, or sheet music to find out where to put your fingers. You can concentrate on technique and finding your style right from the start.

Fret Zealot was perfected after 5 years of development. The design is meticulous and will not interfere with the strings or frets. It’s compatible with full size guitars (scale length 24.75” – 25.5”). The rechargeable battery lasts 12 hours and clips onto the head stock of any brand of guitar. The audio cable connector can swapped for a longer one to fit or mount anywhere. Free iOS and Android app for control via Bluetooth.

Choose From:
-24.75" scale length - fits most Epiphone, Gibson, PRS, etc. This is the universal version and will fit any guitar with a scale length less than 25.5".
-25.5" scale length - fits most Fender, Ibanez, Jackson, Schecter, Yamaha, and most acoustic guitars. This will fit guitars with scale lengths very close to 25.5" (including slightly less or more like 25.4" or 25.6")

Love it. Can't believe no one at my guitar center knew it

This product is awesome. I'm a beginner and this is the best learning tool I have come across. Instead of searching through scales, chords, etc on your phone and then having to translate that onto guitar strings with this it just lights up the exact location of what you have to play. Sometimes as a beginner I would play the wrong strings and read tabs the wrong way. With this it makes it fool proof, but not to the point where I'm not learning. I'm still learning, just faster. So many songs on here. It's awesome. Can't believe it's not a display in all guitar centers.

I wish the execution was better...

I really wanted to love this product as it is a fantastic idea. However... execution of the product is poor and needs refinement. I am using on Android and both scale lengths. Main issue is the app on android.. constantly drops bluetooth connection and need re pairing on startup. Also, material on the LED lights is peeling off after only about a month of easy / gentle use. I wish the build and engineering was better because the idea has lots of potential.

    Surprised it does not cover full fret board. Stops 7 frets shy. That was not clear anywhere on guitar centers ad. Sooooooo what are we supposed to do with scales and leads up there? I don't get it.

    The product comes with very clear installation instructions. If you use your phone app to connect assure that your WiFi is turned off to allow Bluetooth connection. The original product had some adhesive issues, I contacted Fret Zealot and after 3 email communications they decided to send a replacement strip. So good customer support and are friendly. The lessons that are on the app are very good and are intended for every level of guitar player.

    I got really LUCKY and found an acoustic and an electric with this already installed. Really didn't add to my cost because they were both used. This is the reason I'm not quitting! I take lessons on my schedule and this really is an amazing teacher for newbies like me. I know I'll be able to play in front of friends really SOON! New or used if you're just starting out just BUY THIS! You won't be disappointed at all. Maybe you'll be lucky like me and find it already installed plus get a really good deal on your guitar at the same time. Good Luck and ENJOY!!!

    I was really excited when I came across a video showing this product on YouTube. Now that I have one, the sky is the limit. I have a feeling my guitar playing ability will grow leaps and bounds thanks to this tool.

    Will not be able to install and test the unit until late summer or fall of 2023 when Fret Zealot says that they will have a wider LED strip that fits the neck of most nylon string classical guitars.

    Not as easy to apply as indicated by the videos. The toughest part is applying the strip to the side of the guitar neck because the plastic doesn't give you a decent 90° angle before it straightens back. Because of this the adhesive didn't keep some parts of the strip under the frets. I contacted Fret Zealot with the problem when I purchased it. They gave steps to take for troubleshooting, but nothing worked. Long story short, after almost a year it got to where I couldn't play my guitar anymore so I took it off. Their solution was to buy another LED strip from them.
