Description
Some gear just works—clean, clear and built for the way real artists create. The Focusrite Scarlett Solo USB audio interface (Gen 3) is that kind of tool. Trusted by creators like FINNEAS and Billie Eilish, it's made for tracking vocals, guitar and more, wherever inspiration strikes. Laying down your next single? Starting your first podcast? The Scarlett Solo keeps things simple and sounds phenomenal. It's part of a legacy that started in London in the '80s, when Focusrite set out to build the world's best-sounding audio gear—trusted in studios ever since.
High-Headroom Preamps for Honest, Detailed Sound
At the core of the Scarlett Solo are Focusrite's legendary preamps—famous for their headroom, clarity and transparent tone. Plug in a mic to capture every breath and nuance, or a guitar to get that punchy, dynamic signal that cuts through. These are the same preamps behind records from artists like Sam Smith and Hozier. No hype, no noise—just beautifully open sound.
24-Bit/192kHz Conversion for Pro-Quality Audio
With premium AD/DA conversion, your recordings stay crisp, clean and full of depth. Whether you're layering synths or tracking a solo acoustic take, the Scarlett Solo preserves every detail. It's trusted by engineers and producers working on platinum records, film scores and award-winning podcasts around the world.
Streamlined Focusrite Design for Creative Flow
The Scarlett Solo puts everything you need right at your fingertips—no menus, no distractions. Big gain knobs with LED halos, combo XLR/TRS inputs, direct monitoring and USB bus power make setup fast and frustration-free. Just plug in and start recording—on Mac or PC—before your coffee cools.
Rugged and Portable for Real-World Sessions
Weighing just over a pound, the Scarlett Solo is built to go wherever you do. Its tough metal chassis handles the road, the studio and everywhere in between. Toss it in your backpack or gear bag and track on the move—without sacrificing sound quality or reliability.
Why Choose the Focusrite Scarlett Solo Gen 3?
The Scarlett Solo has earned its spot in countless home studios for good reason—it sounds great, travels light and gets the job done. With Focusrite's trusted signal path, thoughtful design and no-nonsense workflow, it's the perfect first interface—or your favorite backup—for capturing your best takes, time and again.

The simplest one but I like it
This interface soved a lot of problems for me expectedly and unexpectedly. What I expected was: I can connect my condenser microphone to my PC via this devise. I can stream my Zoom/Skype conversation from my android phone to my PC via this devise. This set-up allowed me to make podcast interviews. Unexpectedly... I can now listen to whatever is happening on my PC via. the devise though direct monitor. Before this my computer had a mind of its own and I lose sound often and had to experiment with the sound setting. Now connected to this, the sound always comes out without a problem. Also unexpectedly, this device allows me to do two projects without moving things. The device sends sounds to my PC though a cable, which allows me to record a video using the webcam. The device also send sound to my iPad to record a podcast using a customized app for podcasting. I can do both without moving the cable around. When I record a podcast interview, I want to make sure my voice and the guest's voice are balanced. This can be easily achieved with Scarlet Solo. This replaced my ICICLE connector (Blue ICICLE XLR to USB Converter/Mic Preamp), which was a lot simpler way to connect a condenser mic to a PC. However, I feel like I liked the sound quality of ICICLE SLIGHTLY better than Scarlet Solo. Both are good, though, and this probably is just my personal preference.

BUYER BEWARE
BUYER BEWARE So i purchased this product so i could use my kali lp 6 monitors with my pc and use amp sims. and it works great expect for one HUGE flaw. The headphone and monitor outputs are both active ALL the time. there is no control or toggle for this, so if you only want audio to come out of your headphones youd have to unplug your monitors. the 2i2 is only 50 dollars more and has 2 knobs one for headphones and one for monitor output i highly suggest spending the extra 50 and getting the 2i2 over the solo. I will be returning mine and spending the extra 50 for sure.

I gifted this to my boyfriend and he is obsessed with it. He is uses it everyday, and tell me how much he likes it all the time. He uses it to play guitar in his room at his apartment. It makes it so he can use it without disturbing her roommates. Product is awesome!!

In need of an interface that's easy to use and powerful enough to handle the business of making music?! This little unit delivers in colors of crimson shades. Being a singer/songwriter affords me the need of only two inputs which are great and having the phantom power is a bonus for my large diaphragm condenser mic. The inputs being on the front also make it easy to access. Add the small footprint of the unit itself makes this the perfect interface for my needs. I had absolutely no issues with drivers on my Windows laptop and the low latency performance rivals the bigger interface that I also posses. A truly useful and powerful bargain. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

The price is very low for a very high quality audio interface. As someone who is relatively new to using a microphone and an interface, I found it very easy to use and high quality. #sweepstakes

Not a fan of the uneven monitoring and staticky sound that came from this interface. Even tried hooking it up to a different unit altogether.

I am interested in recording from my Fishman loud box mini from it's DI output. This sounds like a good interface for that. If so, do I have to purchase connecting cables separately? Please advise

Can I use this with an ipad pro? Does the ipad pro have enough power or will I need an external power supply?
Yes, you can use it with an Ipad pro. It should be able to operate off the power of the Ipad, but it would drain it fairly quickly.submitted4 years ago

Can this be used on a Win10 laptop to fix latency issues when tracking vocals? Also, I will be using a line transformer with a PL80 mic. What are the system requirements to use this as far as RAM, etc., Or does it matter? Thanks!
This will work, there are no system requirements beyond operating system to work with this. The only time that may run into an issue is depending on the software you're using.submitted4 years ago
