Perfect for Bedroom Producers, Singer-Songwriters and Podcasters
The Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 is a flexible audio interface for producers, artists and content creators. Its 2-in/2-out design allows you to record two inputs simultaneously. That means you can record guitar and vocals simultaneously and then layer sounds like bass, synthesizer, drum machines and more. With its small footprint and USB bus-powered performance, the Scarlett 2i2 is a standout choice for mobile recordings. Simply chuck it in your go bag and record anywhere you can take your laptop—the interface connects via USB-C for audio and power. Plus, if you’re a podcaster, the Scarlett 2i2 can record you and a second host, or guest, no problem.

Easy-to-use Features for Beginners and Pros
If you’re new to the recording game or a seasoned pro, the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 has you covered. It includes several beginner-friendly features that deliver excellent recordings no matter your skill level. Auto Gain takes the guesswork out of setting levels—just sing or play for 10 seconds and the Scarlett 2i2 sets your levels for you. After that, Clip Safe rides your fader, just like an audio engineer, to make sure you don’t lose a killer take to unwanted distortion. Dynamic Gain Halos give you immediate visual feedback to guarantee you’re recording in the sweet spot. The Scarlett 2i2 also includes independent volume controls for your monitors and headphones, so you can effortlessly switch from recording to playback. Finally, the Scarlett can capture stereo audio from your computer through its two virtual channels—a must have for streamers, podcasters and content creators.

Great Start!
I've been having the product for around 3 weeks. I love the sleek finished material, especially that it doesn't leave fingerprints anywhere. I like the change of halo lights as it is currently compared to the previous generation. It has so many cool features which helps me make my audio easier and sound better. I can notice the difference with and without the air feature which sounds really cool and accommodates my voice really well. I love the safe feature that avoids clipping on the track, it helps a lot especially that I'm very new to all of this. #sweepstakes

I am very happy with Scarlett , not with Guitar Center Staff
For the product itself , it is certainly a step up from what I had which was a Scarlett Solo Gen 3. I was able to trade it in towards my new 2i2 Gen 4 with the additional percentage off. I have more input options and better db within all my outputs and a separate headphone knob

This was so disappointing. Spent about 3 hours just trying to get the PC (new laptop with recent version of Windows) to recognize the input. With the help of someone who has been doing music recording for years, we were never able to get it to work. No supporting documents or help.

What is the benefit of the 5V power adapter addition? Historically I haven't seen this added to the interfaces.
The 5V power adapter for the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB-C Audio Interface provides power if your computer can't supply the required 1.5A USB-C power. The 5V power adapter can be used in the following situations: When using a low-power device If you're using a device like an iPhone, you can use the 5V power adapter to provide the necessary power. When playing live To minimize glitches caused by low power, you can connect the interface to direct power. When using the Scarlett 2i2 in standalone mode You can use the 5V power adapter to power the unit and pass audio from the inputs to the outputs without a computer. When using a USB-C hub with power delivery You can use a USB-C hub with power delivery to charge your iPad while also using the Scarlett interface. The Scarlett 2i2 can also be powered by connecting it to a computer using the USB-C connector. However, Focusrite recommends using the laptop's AC adapter when using it with the Scarlett 2i2 to prevent the laptop battery from draining faster.submitted6 months ago
