Although I can't play like Flea this bass is legit. It plays well, the neck feels so nice. I've owned it for almost a year. I've seen other owners online swap the pick-ups out but I wouldn't even bother. It is an eye catcher for sure. I got it really fast. The volume knob is bent slightly but it doesn't effect performance or hinder the bass at all. I was told it adds character. I chose the blue/orange model and bought an orange strap to match the dot.

This is a great bass. My son picked out over the less prices Ibanez and we bought it sight unseen thanks to GC 30 day return deal. I can tell you that you will not need to return this bass unless you find something happened in shipping. I had it shipped to the store. Pulled it out of the well packed box, tuned it up and lugged into a Markbass. I did the cromatic fret test and there is nothing wrong with these frets. Not a single dead not on the this neck. Here are some things that are not easy to find out about the Fleabass. The neck is fast and super tapered like a Fender Jazz bass with a satin finnished neck. Fretts are not perfectly pollished but like I said above no dead spots. Pickup is powerful and quiet. The volume and tone nobs are cheaper but silent. The bridge is solid. Turners are solid also. Body shape is very cool with nice rounded horns and the finnish is perfect. Neck pocket is alot better than I was betting on. Here is a big plus and not posted any where. It comes in a very very nice Fleabass gig bag. This is not some cheap $30 bag. Good stuff. Over all this is a great bass for $500 and better than alot of $700 bass guitars hangin on the wall.

This is the greatest bass I have ever played. It has a great fat even through my little Peavey Max 15. I love th feel of the neck. I have the Blue and orange and the colors are great. It is clear that Flea designed this bass to slap. My only problem was that when i got it the intonement was almost a 1/2 step out of tune, but a guitar tech fixed it after about an hour. Overall an amazing bass for expert or beginner.

I was at first skeptical to buy this because I hadn't played it in person before buying but thought to myself, "Flea made this bass". This bass is everything I was expecting. I bought the sunny bass (orange and yellow) and it looks B.A. It's very light weight which is GREAT.. The tone is unreal, the neck is nice and small so you can move VERY nicely and VERY fast on it. Obviously the perfect bass for slap. the pickup is in perfect position and the strings are placed perfectly in distance from eachother. This bass is just straight up set up perfectly. The best bass I have ever had, over a Geddy Lee and a Sterling by Music Man.

I got the Blue and Orange (Water Bass) and I must say, the finish is beautiful. The bass itself is pretty audible, and the pickups are passive! The tones are limited on the bass, but the sound goes from bass to treble with one turn of the knob. I got 45-105 GHS bass boomers to go with it, and it sounds incredible. It has a light weight, too. The only thing I dislike is the amp noise it makes when the amp volume is up and the treble is on your bass. It has a cheap price and I would reccomend it.
