Description
When Fender released the Mustang in 1964, it was intended simply as an update of their "student" guitar line. They never expected it to gain the popularity and wide acceptance that it has. The Vintera '60s Mustang brings back that vintage vibe, with re-voiced pickups that recapture the sonic signature of the originals and all the period-accurate features Mustang lovers long for. Vintage-style neck profile, frets, tuners and tremolo bridge are included for authentic feel and looks. The 24"-scale, originally intended for student hands, plays easily and is a big part of what led to the adoption of the Mustang by many guitarists in alt-rock, punk, grunge and other genres.

The Vintera '60s Mustang comes with a deluxe gig bag.

The Vintera Mustang is compact, and lighter than a Strat.

Been enjoying this guitar for a little over a week now. I like it more every time I pick it up! It goes without saying that it needed a cleaning and set up out of the box. The only downsides (that are absolutely fixable) are a pretty bad ground issue that will need to be looked into, and the g string is flat sounding. Still more set up work that I need to do, just my observations so far. For reference, I also own a natural ash American strat, a Gibson es-335, and a 1965 Gibson melody maker with p90s.

Bought this guitar brand new expecting top quality craftsmanship, but not really … Headstock had a ding, body had another ding , neck pickup was not adjusted at the correct height, but can be easily adjusted with a screwdriver, and poor paint job by where the bolted neck. I was going to exchange it for a different one same model and color but learned that guitar center would not be making them anymore. Overall good guitar just be weary on buying it online even though I'm pretty sure that's the only way to obtain it. By the way Michael Burgess GC Gear Advisor provided excellent customer service. Nice offset body though for smaller hands and good balance regarding the weight when standing with a guiatr strap

Item # 1500000280888 Does this come with a gig bag? What kind of strings? Is it already setup?

    Open Reply - Ronald
They are the fender brand strings, it does not come with a gig bag, and it is playable but it is recommended to get a setup to personal preference to ensure optimal play-ability.
