    These pickups are just the right amount of hot and clear for a stratocaster. There is a reason why Gilmour black strat and Claptons blackie had enamel coated post CBS style pickups until the guitars were retired. If you don't want to spend the money on CS 69s to get cloth wire, these are plenty good enough.
