Excellent execution of the Jaguar design.
An excellent, exacting vintage Jaguar. The Jaguar is what it is, and can be a useful and fun-to-play sonic tool. You'll either love or hate the Jaguar tone, but removing the claws will remove that bright-edged, sharp stabby presence to the attack (while still sounding like a Jag). I think more people would fall in love with Jaguars if they tried one without claws. Instantly sounds a touch warmer. More like a fat strat pickup, but the scale length and bridge add that unique Jag flavor. Also, while the threaded bridge has a cool trashy tone, I prefer the feel and tone of the Mustang fixed-radius bridge...a bit warmer with more sustain. An easy swap. The neck Pocket has a built-in angle, which is a positive change. Mexican craftsmanship is really impressive these days. As near flawless as I could hope. I'm really glad to have one. I personally think the Jaguar is a 4 star guitar design--but depending on your tastes, you can get it near 5-stars with a couple mods. And if you want a vintage Jaguar, this is a 5-star execution of the design.

Not a bad basic Jag, but plan on doing some work
Always have lusted after a Jaguar. I love surf and know the only way to get authentic surf tone is with a Mosrite or one of these. Couldn't afford a vintage Jag so I decided to go with one of these. It's a decent basic Jag for the price but if you want to get close to getting authentic 60s surf tones and playability, plan on doing work. After some extensive upgrades (new Staytrem bridge, new Jag American 62 vintage pickups, setup with shims for best playability with flatwound strings) I now have a pretty playable authentic sounding Jag with a useable tremolo. In hindsight however, I should have saved and just bought the American 62 Vintage Jag. If you however just want a basic offset guitar for a reasonable price, this is OK.

My first Vintera had issues and was returned. At the suggestion on my gear specialist I tried the model again. I couldn't be happier with the fit and finish. It looks and sounds awesome. Action is kinda high but certainly something a setup will address. Nice guitar.
The looks are the best part of this line..

I am not overly impressed by the fit and finish of this guitar, sadly. I've always wanted a Jaguar and thought this would be a step up from the Squier… not sure it is. Minimum you'll need a complete/platinum setup of the guitar. nut bad, pickups tilted, neck bowed, buzzes, bridge off
Beautiful guitar just needs some work

I haves used this guitar as my main instrument for gigs and recording for about 6 months now. It really works well as a vintage style jaguar. that being said It needs to be set up like a vintage instrument. this means a neck shim heavy strings and lifting the bridge is required. after this setup it works like a charm, sounds great and is very playable. most people set up their jags like Strats or teles and end up hating them but with a proper jag setup it can be one of the best guitars you play. mine didn't come with a trem arm and I did have to contact fender but they sent one right away.
I love it!
