Description

Acclaimed pickup guru Tim Shaw engineered Fender’s V-Mod Stratocaster pickups using a proprietary blend of alnico magnet types. Voiced specifically for each position and carefully designed for top-notch tone that modern players will love, the pickups in this set are calibrated for the best possible performance whether used singly, or combined.

To bring out the musicality and tonal nuances of these pickups, Fender used the inherent characteristics of various alnico formulations to create the best blend and balance along the neck, in any switch position. In the neck pickup, alnico 2 under the bass strings, combined with alnico 3 magnets under the treble strings provide the richness and clarity you expect from the neck pickup.

Featuring alnico 2 magnets on the bass side, and alnico 5 on the treble side, the reverse-wound/reverse-polarity middle pickup cancels hum when used in positions 2 or 4. The bridge pickup is powered exclusively by alnico 5 magnets. Each pickup features the distinctive tone, tempered with vintage-style warmth, and the crisp, clear sound that made Fender a legend.

These pick ups have a balanced sound, noticeable right away. Some will poo poo on it because it's NEW and not vintage sounding. Well, yes of course they do. That's why their called Vintage Modern or VMOD! The high end isn't super bright The low end isn't booming I noticed they cut through better within the sound of the band. Best upgrade pickups I've had in my strat....! 😎
