    Hard-Shell Protection: These cases are built with molded plastic or wood construction and plush interiors that offer strong impact protection against drops and rough handling. Neck Support and Padding: Most Fender hardshell cases include internal neck cradles and padding to protect against shock and movement. Not ATA/TSA-Certified (Usually): Most standard Fender hardshell cases are not ATA flight-rated. That means they may not withstand sustained abuse in cargo holds as well as dedicated flight cases (like those from SKB or Gator with TSA and ATA certification). Temperature and Humidity: Aircraft cargo holds can be subject to extreme temperatures and humidity shifts, which could affect wood instruments like a Strat or Telecaster. A standard Fender hardshell case is safe for occasional flying, especially with careful handling or gate-checking. For regular air travel or international flights, you’ll want a dedicated flight case that meets ATA 300 Category I specifications.

    How well does this case fit the G&L ASAT Deluxe? Want a snug fit and the G&L ASAT is not exactly the same as a telecaster. Anyone have some helpful input for me or any suggestions for a great hardshell case?
